I found Essential Moment on Craig's List, looking for an inexpensive photographer.
I got 2 professional photographers for a great price, and I ended up
having over 2,000 proofs from my five-hour event. And they looked great.
The con is that they are inexpensive because they're just getting
started photographing weddings (as of summer 2006) - they have plenty of other experience, but are building up their wedding portfolio.
So, this means a couple of things. a) I had a couple of time constraint
issues-the portraits went too long. b) They don't make albums (yet).
You can get 'softcopies" - high-resolution digital images that are basically
like negatives. You also get 4x6 prints. So, you can make your own album or
get someone else to make you one. c) | would have liked to have had them visit the site a few weeks before the event, in order to have a good
plan in place for shooting options.
Like I said, I think I got a great deal, and the photos were
great. I think these guys will just get better with more
wedding experience.
Bonus: they speak Chinese, which was helpful for my family.
(They also speak English.)
