About Katie
To tell you a little about me, I have been documenting weddings since 2005, shooting in New England, Southwest, and Arizona, and California. In 2006 my company was the NBC12 Dream Wedding Photographers and 2010 my partner and I were voted as the top 3 wedding photography company by Richmond Magazine readers. We had 8 weddings featured in Richmond Bride. While on the East Coast I photographed just under 200 weddings before deciding to move home to California. For the last 8 years I have taken on limited clients, mostly portrait or commercial work and the occasional wedding, while I started my family and raised my children. A friendly, engaged professional
Not only did we come away with tons and tons of amazing photos, we've stayed friends with Katie in the intervening years - she was that much fun to work with. Photography can be one of the most obtrusive parts of your wedding; they're up in your face as you're getting dressed, interrupting precious moments to get the right angle, dragging you away from your party guests to get the perfect sunset lighting. If the photographer isn't an absolute pleasure to work with, those interruptions can be quite a nuisance. But a real pro - someone who loves her work, who is passionate about weddings, who is excited to be there - makes all of that process fun. It's one of those things you can only look back at later, realizing that the positive, outgoing, engaged personality of your photographer made such a big difference in the enjoyment of your wedding. They're a key part, and you have to pick that person very carefully.
Katie gets my unqualified recommendation. I'd party with her any day.

She has such a gift to capture the moment in her shots especially with our little kids. She’s got such a great personality to work with and is easy to get along with.
She’s very organized and got our pictures back to us lightening fast. I loved her edits, she did a great job cutting unwanted people in the background of our beach shots. I can’t wait to work with her again for Christmas photos this year.
