Emily is a foodie and gardening enthusiast who could dig through piles of old records for hours (and has!). She loves sitting outside with a cup of coffee, writing, and cooking meals from scratch while watching reruns of Anthony Bourdain TV shows.

She wishes she lived closer to the beach, but has always held her hometown of Lawrence, KS, at the number one spot in her heart.

John Paul is a geography PhD who loves a good cup of light roast and traveling abroad; he’s visited such places as Spain, Ireland, Morocco, the Canary Islands, and Costa Rica, and has an ever-growing list of new places to explore.

In his spare time, he can be found practicing Brazilian Jiujitsu, doing cold plunges, driving country roads in search of horses to pet, and wrestling his two rambunctious little boys. He can also roller skate backwards better than anyone in the world.
