Every photographer has their way of creating and making memories. The clients who book me, are not for the weak or the easily offended. From the jump I make it very clear the energy i will be bringing into their wedding day. They sign the contract knowing what they are getting. For those of you who don't understand; its because you did not hire me. The reviews that are 5/5 are from people who knew what they wanted when they hired me. They wanted casual, documentary, candid; style photographs. They wanted to not be in control of their wedding day. They wanted someone who would make them laugh, and make them jump out of their comfort zones. I am not everyones cup of tea. The way I create my candids; is by being unprofessional ( my definition ) and invasive and inapporpiate. However; that is what my clients want. They don't want stiff, structured and repetative.
I have been a wedding photographer for 18 years. That is a long time to develop a niche and be able to be selective with my clients. The only people who I am accepting their weddings are people who are choosing me, all of me; and my work. Theyre not just choosing my price and my editing style. They are choosing someone who will go above and beyond for them depsite the way i create and how i make my craft. A relationship between a photographer and a client is very special and is only really understood by those two parties. Its okay if guests don't understand because its not their weddings and its not their choice.
Being a photographer has been my lifes dream. I have started from the bottom at a young age, and I've grown my business into what it is today. I am proud of who I am, how hard I work, and I am thankful for the people who trust me to photograph their special days. I am successful because I am honest from the beginning and I am passionate about what I do and the magic I create.
