I had the pleasure of working with Emani's Events last weekend and she is fantastic event planner!! Emani's Events is well connected and easy going. Her focus to detail and professionalism kept the wedding day fun and lively. As a wedding DJ it's important to work with wedding planners that are on the ball. I would 100% recommend Emani's Events!

I hired Emani Events a year before our wedding to design and print our wedding menus and ceremony programs, and to create a two-piece structured wooden seating chart. She had ample time to prepare. I paid in full and received nothing that I paid for. I do not recommend her services. Here is what happened.

Communication was poor from the start, and I had to follow up repeatedly just to get responses. The first mockups arrived a little over two weeks before the wedding, and they appeared to be AI-generated. Multiple names were misspelled or inconsistent, the formatting was non-uniform, and details did not match the information I had provided. The seating chart also had spelling and grammatical errors.

I sent a specific list of corrections and was told they would be made. After a week of silence, I had to follow up several days in a row before revised proofs arrived. The revised proofs still had misspellings, including my groom's first and last name. One name appeared in non-English characters. Many of my requested changes had not been made, and the formatting was still sloppy. With less than a week to go, I no longer had time for more rounds, so I designed my own menus, programs, and seating chart and sent them to her to print.
On the wedding day she was due at 9am. At 11am she had not arrived or given any update. She arrived at 2pm with materials that were unusable:

- Menus and programs were printed on regular printer paper, not the high-quality cardstock I paid for. They were crooked, off-center, and untrimmed, and the programs were so thin that the print on the back showed through.
- Instead of the two-piece wooden seating chart, she delivered a blurry poster-paper print meant to be clipped onto something resembling a shower curtain. None of the design I paid for was included.

The programs went in the trash. The venue had to rush-print menus on photo stock, and brought in extra staff to seat guests individually because the seating chart could not be used. When several people confronted her at drop-off, she said she would fix it and come back. She never did, and we never heard from her again. She added an enormous amount of stress and chaos to what was supposed to be the most magical day of my life.
I requested a refund the day after the wedding, since the services I paid for were not provided. I have received no response and no refund. I feel I was scammed.

If you are considering hiring her, please protect your event and your money, and hire someone else.

This girl is a thief. It’s two days before my wedding and she has not refunded me my money. I’ve texted, called, left voicemails and emails. She won’t respond. She canceled our contract a month before our wedding because I told her I didn’t like the flower arrangement she sent me a picture of as well as she changed my charger plates from glass so acrylic without communicating it to me. She then made up a contract that doesn’t coincide with our original contract that stated she will keep $900 of $1945 dollars. Then she said she would give me $1045 dollars back within 30 days if I signed the made up contract she sent me over. I refused to sign it. Then she sent me another contract saying she was going to have someone reach out to me and send me over my money within 1-2 weeks. It’s well past 30 days and 2 days before my wedding. We had to pay for another planner, decor and floral within a month because of her actions. We all know how expensive weddings can be. I would have never expected this from her because she comes off as a sweet girl. In actuality, she’s evil for what she’s doing. Do not book with her if you are looking for great quality. God will take care of you for me Emani. Now I will move forward to my big day!
