We knew from the second that we saw Kat’s work that I wanted her to capture our wedding day, we just prayed she was available. Lucky for us, she was! Once we found out Kat was available she happily set-up a meeting with us at a local coffee shop. She asked a lot of questions to understand what we are into and what we really wanted out of our wedding photographer, shared some work with us, talked through how she likes to handle the day, etc. We left the meeting and knew immediately that she HAD TO photograph our wedding (we didn’t want to sound too eager so we waited 24 hours to respond — ha!). We had yet to take engagement photos so she became our photographer for that as well. I would highly recommend having her take your engagement session if at all possible. Its a great chance for you all to get comfortable with each other and get a first-hand sample of the work before your wedding day (plus it will make you even more excited for the big day). Anyways, fast forward a few months and it’s our wedding day. Kat was prompt to our “getting ready” location and her assistant Katie was absolutely lovely as well. Because we had a larger wedding we agreed that two photographers was the ideal route. The best part about how Kat goes about the day is that she just does her thing and you do yours. That sounds like a “separation” but it is by all means NOT. What I mean is she focuses on the candid shots — the things you CAN’T stage and pose for. Yes of course we took staged photos with our wedding party and our families but 90% of what was captured on our day was candid and it is one thousand times more personal than the majority of wedding photos you see out there. Although we didn’t originally plan on having a videographer we later decided that we did want to hire one. Kat welcomed it and collaborated seamlessly with them on our wedding day. Everyone that she encountered on our wedding day thought she was just as wonderful as we did. As if her presence and skills weren’t enoug

Our pictures are AMAZING! And many of our guests said our pictures are the best they've seen. Kat was easy to work with and contact as well as putting us at ease with all the wedding day stress. We wanted our wedding pictures to be candid and capture the emotions/interactions of our guests which is exactly what we got. Kat gave perfect guidance for all our posed pictures and then let us just relax, hangout and be ourselves. Everything was perfect!

About 10 years ago, I curated an art show in Milwaukee and was completely blown away by one of the photographers who submitted her work - Kat. Waaaay before my now-husband and I got engaged, we knew we want to try to get Kat to do our wedding. We contacted Kat within days of getting engaged and confirmed her about a year and a half in advance for our July 2012 wedding. The pretty obsessive planning was completely worth it:)

Both Kat and Dylan are incredibly talented artists who are skilled at both the traditional posed shots (Kat's forte) and at capturing candid moments (Dylan's deal). They are lovely people who are professional and easy to work with, and their concept of wedding photography is way better than the majority, which can often be hokey and/or awkward. Plus, the prices are reasonable and the quality unparalleled.

I've since recommended them to two engaged couples, both of whom completely fell in love with Ellagraph. A recommendation of the first degree!
