There are soooo many wedding vendors out there, so many decisions to make for a wedding, and typically I steer away from reviews but in planning a wedding I feel like these happen to be one of the only pieces of information you can use to decide if a vendor will be worth your money. The TLDR is that Lauren & Jamie‘s services and products are absolutely 1000% worth every penny - we did both photo and video with them and I have a new appreciation for how they captured our wedding with every time I go back to look at photos/watch footage. With an event like a wedding, it goes by so quickly and there are so many things you won’t get to see with your own eyes (especially with an event as large as ours) so picking out a photographer & videographer was one of our most important choices. Here is how we picked Lauren & Jamie - 1) by their style - we really didn’t want all of our photos to be posed/portrait style photos which is very classic for Indian weddings. Of course we wanted some portraits, but we appreciated the way they capture all the small and in-between moments of an event and how it feels more organic than having everything perfectly positioned. 2) By their demeanor - so much is curated for instagram/social media these days and with the technology that’s out there, I’m convinced anyone can put themselves out there and say they’re a “wedding photographer”, but how invested are they in your day and your story and capturing accurately who you are? I loved how I felt like Lauren & Jamie really cared about us and made us feel like they wanted to understand how to give us what we we wanted. They are just the best people and we felt so comfortable being ourselves with them (which feels really vulnerable sometimes!) 3) by how they were the experts & professionals in all our interactions - while they took time to understand us, I also fully trusted them to make decisions for us and guide us so they could do their best work and they were always very transparent and communicative in all of their guidance. Once we hired them, we felt like we were in the best hands and I truly can’t imagine going with anyone else. The last note I have is that we had an Indian fusion wedding and they navigated all of the events with grace and ease! If you need to make one decision for your wedding today, HIRE THEM!!!!

If you're looking for a photography team to capture your day and your relationship with an elevated point of view and a timeless, beautiful style, from a team that exudes charm, warmth and professionalism, look no further! Jamie and Lauren are all the things you expect of professional photographers with years of experience. They were on time, they helped us create a viable timeline for our wedding day, they coordinated our first look (extra shoutout to Lauren for hiding me from my husband who ended up parking next to us at our first look site!), they shepherded all our family for portraits, they even reminded us to kiss after our cake cutting. They captured all the moments - the posed portraits and the spontaneous candids with our friends and family - in such a beautiful way that only those with a truly experienced eye can do. Truly above and beyond our wildest dreams and expectations both leading up to and on the day of our wedding. (As a side note, our engagement shoot with Lauren was SO much fun, like we were hanging out with a friend. Our engagement photos caused quite the hubbub with our friends and family who all adored them as much as we did!)

But so much more than their professionalism and their artistic talent, if you choose the Eichars as your photographers (and/or videographers), you are picking two beautiful people who will make your day so easy. They somehow directed me and my husband, who are both not comfy in front of the lens, without seeming demanding or abrasive. They helped us to enjoy each moment without worry because we knew they had our back. Working with them was such a treasured memory of the whole wedding planning process.

Do yourself a favor and work with the Eichars. Ask about their sweet baby and favorite hiking trails. And know that one of the most important aspects of wedding planning - the photography (and/or videography) - is in capable, talented, authentically good hands.

Disclaimer: we know the Eichars as Lauren’s sister married my husband’s cousin and we are SO FORTUNATE for that connection! However, we are truly VERY picky when it comes to photography because we’ve been fortunate to have worked with talented photographers over the course of our relationship.

Our requests from L&J were to be directed, have large vantage point photos, and capitalize on the family and friends element with many candid photos. Excuse me when I say holy sh*t did they deliver!!!! They’re simply wonderful people who happen to be incredibly talented and humble. If I could give more stars, I would. Lauren and Jamie are the absolute BEST and if you want an amazing experience/connection with your photographers AND incredible pictures, you need to book them ASAP.

We found Lauren & Jamie on Instagram and when we reached out, they instantly responded and set up a zoom call so we could talk more in person and get to know each other better. They wanted to make sure we had good connections before we officially booked which we appreciated so much. They were easy to talk to and really listened to what we had planned for our wedding and what we wanted in a photographer. They sent over past photo sessions and even sent us pictures they had taken from our venue.

Towards the wedding, they sent over an amazingly helpful questionnaire & document that went over pretty much everything you needed to know before your day of. SUPER helpful. We were already so excited for them to take our pictures before we even met them in person.

However, we were shocked even more on our wedding day because Jamie & Lauren went ABOVE & BEYOND. They were quick, got the perfect shots, and made sure to follow our shot list so they got all the shots we wanted. We got to see a little sneak peek at the wedding of some of their shots and those alone without any edits were so perfect. They even sent us a handful of shots, edited not long after the wedding day and they were breathtaking.

Lauren & Jamie are truly kind, genuine people and we felt so blessed to not only meet them but to have the wedding shot by them. They have a true talent and have the perfect eye for capturing the beautiful moments. They will come into your life and become friends who you feel like you’ve known forever. We would use them for every event in the future and highly recommend them. So happy we found them. Our favorite vendors of the wedding!

Hands down: Lauren and Jamie are incredible at what they do. We hired them for our 14-hour long multi-cultural wedding (2 ceremonies in one day!) and they were an integral part of our wedding. Not only because they know lighting exceptionally well, and our pictures turned out gorgeous. What distinguishes Lauren and Jamie is that they are kind genuine and thoughtful people who go above and beyond at every step. We felt comfortable having them around us during our stressful, loving, exciting, emotional, and personal moments and it made our wedding day that much better.

Not only are Jamie and Lauren phenomenal photographers, but they're also the most genuine, warm, thoughtful, and dedicated people. They simply thought of everything and captured it all, from the tiniest details to the candid in-between moments throughout the day. We also loved the way Jamie and Lauren helped create moments for us to step away, be present, and soak it all in. It was amazing to spend the day with two people who care so deeply and made us feel so special. We can't wait to continue the tradition of having the Eichars photograph milestones for our family in the years ahead--there's simply no better team out there.

Wow, where to even start with these guys! You know when you first meet someone and you start going through scenarios in your head about your future together….THAT was Jamie and Lauren!

We first met Lauren when we scheduled a last minute engagement shoot while visiting SF in July to plan out our destination wedding. She graciously worked us in for a 5:30am sunrise session. The fog that morning was so heavy and put a kink in the Golden Gate Bridge photos we had originally planned, but Lauren was ready with a backup. She asked if we were down to be adventurous and hike for our photos...HECK YES! The photos that she captured were absolutely incredible and truly a work of art. I knew then and there that we had to book her for our big day in February...I even moved money around in my budget just to get the chance to work with her again!

Our wedding day photos were nothing short of amazing. I had the wedding I always dreamed of, along with pictures to capture every single sweet moment. No one else could have told our story the way that they did. They were kind and supportive during our intimate first look session, wonderfully incharge during our group photos, and fun and interactive at the reception. What more could you possibly want!? They captured every moment perfectly!

We live in Texas, so planning a wedding from a few states away is no easy feat. With their easy-going personalities and constant communication, Lauren and Jamie made the whole process stress-free. We talked on the phone about our ideas and the kind of images we wanted to capture, and they helped us work through our strict wedding day timeline to fit everything in.

Honestly Jamie and Lauren’s photos speak for themselves, but they also could not be better people or more easy to work with. They are incredibly professional and have a total system, complete with a pre-wedding questionnaire, dialed in to make the day run as smoothly as possible. We recently received their final, edited photos and could not have been happier (we’ve already gone through them multiple times)! They do an incredible job capturing all the shots you want and providing you with an absolutely astounding number of edited shots. They are the best photography couple to work with. Lauren and Jamie are very professional and make your special event all about you. They work with you to get the perfect photos, and made us feel very comfortable. We are blow away with the amazing job they did at our wedding. Jamie and Lauren were wonderful to work with throughout every step of the wedding process. First, they did a great job of preparing for our wedding by trying to understand the spirit behind our event and which photos were important to us. We met with them multiple times before the wedding to go over all of the logistics. On the day of the wedding, they arrived early to scout out locations, which made the portrait session go really smoothly. Our first look was a very intimate moment, and I thought it might be weird having two strangers around, but Jamie and Lauren were really fun to hang out with during that time, and they had a ton of great suggestions for shots. When we got our pictures, there were a few extra things we were hoping to see, and Jamie and Lauren went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests . There were also a few fun surprises, and you can tell that Jamie and Lauren are constantly trying to perfect their work and give clients the best value possible. I highly recommend working with Eichar Photography. They are incredibly talented and fun to work with, and you are sure to receive images you will treasure forever.
