Edward Underwood is a wedding and lifestyle photographer based out of the Washington, DC and has been shooting professionally for 10 years. 2016 will mark his 9th season shooting lifestyle and weddings.

Edward discovered a love for photography while pursuing his passion for traveling the world. On each trip he returned with an impressive collection of images capturing the spirit of the world, its people and their cultures.

To be a photographer is to be an observer and storyteller. Edward carefully composes life's subtle details to tell a complete story in a single image. It is his passion however for the human condition, emotions, relationships, LOVE, that draws him to photographing weddings.

Stunning photos and easy to work with

From the start Ed and Shawna were amazing to work with! We loved our engagement photos and the sneak peeks we have seen from our wedding day are wonderful too. They made our photo session on the day of as easy as possible and we’ll always look back on the photos with great joy. Photos are the one thing that you get to take away from the day (other than a new spouse) and Ed and Shawna will guarantee that those photos look amazing!

Perfect Photographer!

Edward Underwood and his wife Shawna traveled to the Dominican Republic to be the photographers for our destination wedding. They photographed the entire weekend and really captured our families meeting and getting to know each other, which was very important to us. The were extremely professional and easy to work with! He even went along with all my mother's ideas for further pictures, lol! I've seen a couple of the pictures and CANNOT wait to see the rest of them!

Amazing Photography!

If we did one thing right with our vendors it was hiring Edward Underwood Photography for our wedding!!! He came into the day ready to work, prepared with a plan, and had the most amazing personality! He fit right into our day, and made us feel so comfortable and confident in each photo he took! He maximized his time while being considerate of ours. Not only are him and his wife great people but they are reachable, professional, and care about the final product!!!! The shots were breathtaking and we are beyond impressed with his keen eye and effortless skill!!! With Edward and his team behind the camera; you will fall in love with every single photo!

For Nicole and Chucks wedding I returned to Oxon Hill Manor. One of my favorite wedding venues in Washington. Although it was a rainy day, the atmosphere was spectacular! The day was destined to be successful and then I got to meet the photographer of the event. Edward Underwood was a friendly, professional and generally all around a nice guy to work with. We started with Nicole getting ready. Edward had great ideas and didn’t mind to share shots. Edward seemed to glide in and out of the party and easily get the best photos. He gathered the crowed and guided them for posed photos too! RIMAS FILMS enjoyed working with Edward Underwood Photography and sincerely hope we get to work soon again!
