Eclip's is the best place to get your hair & makeup done for your wedding. I've been going here since I was child, and I also go here for facials and waxing (ask for Shahin!)

I brought my entire bridal party and the mothers to get hair and makeup the morning of the wedding. Linda is the best at hair! You can give her a picture from Pinterest and she will copy it exactly. Olivia does the best makeup! She also takes a picture and transforms you. I would recommend getting fake eyelashes for the big day too. It makes such a difference in pictures. Literally everyone who works at Eclips is amazing and will do a great job.

I was frantically looking for a makeup artist and hair stylist for my wedding. This was a destination wedding for me as I was not from the area at the time of my wedding. A girlfriend told me about a stylist named Mary McKinney who works at Eclipse Salon so I made an appointment for a consultation. Mary was friendly and very easy to talk to, she gave me very honest answers and professional opinions.

I have very fine hair and I wasn't really expecting a miracle but that's exactly what I got!
Mary added a few Great Lengths extensions, some low-lights & high-lights and she created a masterpiece. I received countless compliments and my wedding pictures turned out so well, I have never looked more pretty.

Now that I currently live in Northern Virginia, Mary is my regular stylist. If your looking for someone who can actually create real wedding day hair designs and realistic, picture perfect makeup...look no further, Mary McKinney is your gal.

I had my make up done by Courtney. She did a FABULOUS job. My make up looked wonderful. I normally do not wear too much make up so I wanted to make sure that I found someone who understood what I was looking for. I wanted enough make up where in pictures you can see it but I didnt want to look like a clown. Courtney is really good at what she does. She made me look GORGEOUS!!

I had my hair done by Melissa and Trish, it turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! I was so happy with my updo. I was looking for a soft updo, nothing tight and they nailed it. :)

Last but not least, I had my brows, lips and facial done by Rosario. She is AMAZING!!! She truly does a great job. She is the only person I let touch my eye brows and who does my waxing. I'm not sure how she does it, but it's never painful.

I have been going to Eclips now for many years to get my haircut, so it was a natural decision to go to them for my wedding updo. They did the makeup and hairdo's for most of my bridal party. They are on the expensive side, I'm not going to lie, but if you don't want to worry about how your hair is going to look on your big day, then go with Eclips. They do a fabulous job each time and they won't let you leave until it's EXACTLY what you want. I went to Ashley and she's fantastic. I recieved so many compliments on how great my hair and makeup looked.

I had done a trial run at the Ritz Carlton salon and I wasn't excited about the outcome. I went to Eclipse to get my roots touched up and talked to them about getting my hair done there instead. I didn't want to pay for another trial run so I was really taking a chance. My husband and I had such a hard time figuring out what we should do with my hair, we had differing opinions. It was probably the most stressful decision for me. Even w/o the trial run, Irving did an absolutely wonderful job. It really turned out better than I had imagined - my husband and I both loved it! Even though they aren't cheap, my husband wants me to always go to him anytime I need anything done with my hair :)

We used Eclipse for my hair and my bridesmaids hair (all updos). We really liked the outcome. They were a bit on the pricey side, but it's worth it for such a big day.

It was definitely way overpriced based on the quality. I was unsure about the style that I wanted during the trial run, but the stylist was not helpful in suggesting different ideas. The updo I decided on during my trial run did not match the updo that I had on my wedding day, even though the stylist took a picture during the trial. If you have your bridesmaids' hair done, they also charge different prices based on the stylist who does it, which makes things difficult. I do not recommend Eclips.

As a long time customer I knew this would be my first stop for hair on my wedding day. While I love my stylist, Eclips requires all brides to utilize their "bridal coordinator" for any services scheduled on/around a wedding. The bridal coordinator works part time and was never present for any of my appointments. When it came to the trial, I was happy with the amount of time set aside for trying different techniques, but was already frustrated with the process (not to mention the sky high prices). As mentioned before, while the end product is lovely (due to the experience and care of my stylist) the overall experience was terrible. The bridal coordinator simply confuses the process (requires all hair expenses to be on one credit card (even though my mom and I were the only ones getting ours done and we have been clients for close to a decade), is generally very difficult to track down, and winds up serving as a confusing layer of beaurocracy when it would be far easier to book with the front desk. I had to follow up several times before getting a call back from this coordinator and finally asked the front desk manager if I could book my wedding day appointments through her as the coordinator was never available when I called. The manager obliged and was more helpful. If you're looking for a really positive experience as you decide on a hair style for your wedding, I'd recommend giving some serious thought before signing on with Eclips. The salon is great for very nice every day hair cuts/styles (pricey but good), but has no clue how to what to do with brides. Truly too bad as I had previously really loved this salon.
