I can't say enough about how helpful Ashley was. It was a beautiful venue and one of the best for value for your money. She definitely helped make our wedding day special.

The team at Doubletree Hilton-University area is amazing! They are so easy to work with, and incredibly flexible. They respond to any questions I've had with patience and expertise. The menu has a variety of foods that are a step up from traditional wedding cuisine, and their packages cover everything you would need to throw a great wedding. I am so excited to have our reception here. I know it is a space that my guests will love!

It was such a pleasure working with Ashley at the DoubleTree Hilton University Area! From the beginning they were so easy to work with and very flexible. I was impressed when a hard hat tour of the event space was offered while the venue was still being finished and felt that was an added level of service. Ashley really listened and did her very best to accommodate our needs and vision for our day while always taking the time to make sure we were happy along the way. The venue space is super beautiful and with the huge floor to ceiling windows and amazing chandelier, you don't need to add much more to have a fabulous space guaranteed to impress guests. Our experience was terrific and would recommend Ashley and the DoubleTree Hilton University Area to all brides looking for great beauty and value.

This was a wonderful experience. We were from out of town and coming in for our son, and soon to be, daughter-in-laws wedding. We needed a place to have the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner and a reception for our out of town guests. The Doubletree was just the place to do this. Not only did we have only one place everyone had to be, but the staff did a wonderful job helping us put it all together. They setup the room beautifully. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I worked with Ashley, who showed up before our event started, made sure everything was there, and then ran around getting us things we had forgotten to make sure we were taken care of. The food we had for the dinner was delicious. We especially enjoyed the potato bar!! How unique and everyone loved it!
Then the next day for the wedding the hotel set up shuttles to take our guests to the wedding and also pick them up afterwards. With parking being a problem around campus, plus worrying about people getting lost and people drinking, this was a huge plus. I can't say enough about all the folks who helped make us and our guests feel comfortable and taken care of! From the valet attendants, the front desk crew, the bar tenders, the event crew and the room service staff.....

Initially, I worked with Stephanie to set up our room block - she was incredibly professional and prompt in her responses. Then Anna worked with us right before the wedding to set up the shuttle and answer any last minute questions. I was pleased with the process, right up until the day of our wedding. Several of our guests voiced complaints about the hotel. Two guests required adjoining rooms - they called twice the week prior to their stay and were guaranteed this accomodation. However, when they checked in, their rooms weren't even on the same floor, and the staff said there was nothing they could do. Also, when the room checked in, he was supposed to have a suite, but they gave him a standard room and did not allow for an early check in (even though both of these items were requested initially). Additionally, the shuttle driver had the wrong times to bring our guests to the ceremony location, so most of them were late or missed the shuttle because it left at a different time than I requeted (and double checked on!). That being said, the hotel is very nice and in a prime location. The room block was highly discounted and very competitively priced, compared to many of the hotels in the area. Many of the issues we experienced may have been due to the hotel opening several months before our wedding, so hopefully they will work out the issues over time. It has the potential to be a very nice hotel.
