I absolutely fell in love with this B&B. I loved the atmosphere, antiques, history, and beauty of the house. We got some great pictures and my family and friends thought it was amazing too. It fit my fiance and I's personality. It was a great value for what I got also. The venue was perfect.

My problem was with Austin, the Manager. He would tell me he was going to send me documents, information, and he wouldn't send it. I would have to leave multiple messages before he would call me back, if he ever called. He never sent me the notes from our planning meetings, even after multiple requests for it. He even forgot about one of our planning meetings and I had to call him to see if he was coming. My fiance and I paid extra to rent the whole venue the day of the wedding, so no outside people would be wandering around the inn and so my family would have a place to stay on the wedding night. When I got to the venue the morning of the wedding, I found out that due to the morning's bad weather, Double Oaks was hosting the local Farmer's Market. No one called me to ask if this was ok. At first Austin told me that everyone would be gone by 12:00 pm. Not what I wanted, but I was trying to not make a big fuss about it on my wedding day. However, the extra people wandering around became a big problem. Due to the majority of my family and friends being from out of town, we couldn't have the rehearsal till the morning of the wedding. Very hard to hold a rehearsal when people from the community were wandering around and getting in the way. People were going in the rooms where my family and I were storing our personal items and things for the wedding. I felt like I was having to constantly watch everyone to make sure our items were touched. As I was getting ready, I find out the Farmer's Market wasn't going to finish till 3:00 pm. This was a big problem! I had friends arriving at 2:30 pm to start setting up the decorations and my vendors arriving at 3:00 pm for my 4:30 pm wedding and reception. Hard to set up when you still have vendors all over the B&B selling their items, and people wandering in/out. Fortunately I had some proactive friends and family who took over to make sure everything gone done in time since I busy. Double Oaks has a Spotify account, and I send Austin a play list of songs I wanted played in a specific order during the ceremony and wedding. I had everything timed out to have filler songs playing while the wedding party was getting pictures done. Also for certain songs to be played for the first dance, Mother/Son, etc. All Austin had to do was start the music. Austin took it upon himself to randomly start playing music from the play list. As the wedding party is having pictures made, I hear our first dance song being played, and Beyonce's Single Ladies. Which was obviously meant for the wedding bouquet toss. Can't do a bouquet toss when all the people in the wedding party are having pictures made. It totally messed up the flow of the night when we were constantly having to stop and start the music, long pauses when no music was playing, and replay songs that had already been played. Again I loved the Inn. I just think they need someone besides Austin, who obviously doesn't understand the hospitality industry, running the inn.

I guess my money isn’t good enough. I contacted them by phone and instagram. I never received a call back. They are actively posting on Instagram and they read my DM, but they completely ignored my message.
