Hi! Do’s & Dye is a team of bridal hair and makeup artists based in West Hartford, CT. Mostly you can find us traveling on location to our brides but we also love hosting at our boutique salon and home base in West Hartford. With 15 years in the wedding industry, we’ve honed in on what’s most important on your day. Your wedding day beauty should feel effortless, elevated, and true to you. We specialize in romantic, boho-inspired bridal hair and flawless makeup that feels like your true self just elevated. Our team of 20 seasoned artists deliver looks that appear effortless yet last from “I do” to the last dance. We’ve seen the potential for a stressful wedding morning and do not take our job as the first vendors to help set the day’s tone lightly. We bring a calm and supportive presence, and a passion for making women feel confident. This is more than just beauty services—we bring peace of mind. 10/10 wedding experience

I was so lucky to come across the Do's and Dye team! From the first message, Julie and her team were responsive, kind, well-priced for the area, and super accommodating. Planning a wedding across the country proved difficult at times, and Do's and Dye made the "glam" experience for my celebration such a breeze! As a bride, this was my first experience with an updo and professional makeup, and I was so sad to take off my glam at the end of the night. Felt so beautiful and very lucky to have gotten paired with Abbey and Becca- would recommend all of their services wholeheartedly! Thank you guys so much for making 8/16/24 so smooth and lovely! xoxo

Love love love dos & dyes!

I came across Do’s and Dye’s instagram while searching for wedding day hair inspo. I was instantly impressed with Julie’s work. I first went to her for highlights and I couldn’t have been more blown away. I got the EXACT color I was looking to achieve. From there, I booked my hair and makeup trial. I had a few ideas in mind for my hair, but I’m the type of person that needs to see them firsthand. Luckily, Julie was nothing but sweet and patience with me as I booked her for multiple trials. She was flexible and helpful throughout the process. She has an amazing makeup team as well that she spoke highly of. I felt comfortable knowing that I was in good hands on my wedding day. Julie wanted nothing but the best for not only me, but my bridal party. She listened to the concerns my mom had about achieving an updo with her fine hair and offered her to come in for her own trial. We were both amazed on what Julie can make happen! Julie is a kind person with incredibly talent. She helped calm any anxiety and nerves the day of the wedding and made the morning easier. I felt incredibly beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her and her team!

Best Wedding Day Vibes!

Working with Julie, Abbey & their talented team of MUAs was like hanging out with your best girlfriends! The last thing you want on the (early) morning of your (long!) wedding day is to start the day off with bad vibes. Your hair stylists and makeup artists are with you for the entire first segment of your day when you get in the wedding mindset and kick off the celebrations - making sure you hire professionals who match your vibe is ESSENTIAL! Want to blast Fall Out Boy and dance around? Want to laugh and pop champagne? Want to trust that your hair and make up with be absolutely BOMB and customized to exactly what you envisioned? Julie's your GIRL!!! Can't recommend highly enough.

Wedding hair goals

Julie was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t recommend her enough. From the trial, ordering extensions for me, coloring my hair leading up to my wedding day to make sure it was perfect, and executing my vision on wedding day- she was the best!! I still just can’t get over how well my hair turned out- and held through the humidity! I was getting compliments all night. Julie and Abbey were punctual, fun, laid back and AHEAD of schedule for me and my 6 bridesmaids. Everyone loved their hair and looked gorgeous! Trust me- you won’t regret booking Julie or Abbey (or both!!) for your wedding day.

Julie made our day beautiful!!

Julie was tasked with doing hair for myself and 6 of my girls. All with different lengths, thicknesses and types of hair. She had our hair done effortlessly and was so kind.

Amazing!

Julie and her team at Do's and Dye were AMAZING!!! I have never seen such stunning updos in my life!! They also work SO quickly and efficiently. Julie creates the most stunning hairstyles - they are true works of art! Everyone's hair looked gorgeous and stayed put all night long!!! Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of using Julie at our wedding this past weekend. She was AMAZING! She was kind, professional, and super talented. She was also so laid back and easy to work with. She made me feel my absolute best on my wedding day. I can not say enough positive things about her. If you're looking for a hairstylist for your wedding- definitely go with Do's and Dye. She was able to accommodate all different styles and hair lengths and everyone loved their hair. I will forever be grateful to Julie for making me feel stunning on the day of my wedding!

Julie is the best!

Julie is fantastic and I cannot recommend her enough. She is truly an expert at what she does and I felt so confident having her on our wedding day for my hair, all my bridesmaids, and some family members. She does beautiful work and beyond that brings a positive and welcoming energy to the room.

Julie from Do’s and Dye Salon made my wedding hair dreams come true! She was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was timely, professional, and just an overall blast to be around!
