10/10 wedding experience
I was so lucky to come across the Do's and Dye team! From the first message, Julie and her team were responsive, kind, well-priced for the area, and super accommodating. Planning a wedding across the country proved difficult at times, and Do's and Dye made the "glam" experience for my celebration such a breeze! As a bride, this was my first experience with an updo and professional makeup, and I was so sad to take off my glam at the end of the night. Felt so beautiful and very lucky to have gotten paired with Abbey and Becca- would recommend all of their services wholeheartedly! Thank you guys so much for making 8/16/24 so smooth and lovely! xoxo -

Julie was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t recommend her enough. From the trial, ordering extensions for me, coloring my hair leading up to my wedding day to make sure it was perfect, and executing my vision on wedding day- she was the best!! I still just can’t get over how well my hair turned out- and held through the humidity! I was getting compliments all night. Julie and Abbey were punctual, fun, laid back and AHEAD of schedule for me and my 6 bridesmaids. Everyone loved their hair and looked gorgeous! Trust me- you won’t regret booking Julie or Abbey (or both!!) for your wedding day. -

I would highly recommend Julie to be your wedding hair stylist for the day!
She was organized, on time, professional, friendly and did the most amazing hair styles for my wedding! It was 90 degrees and humid for my wedding day, and all of our hair lasted all night long!!
She is the queen of braids! I had 11 bridesmaids and each of them had some sort of different braid in their hair- each more beautiful than the next!!!
Would 100% hire her again in a heartbeat! -

Since Julie has been coloring and cutting my hair for a few years now I knew I wanted to book her for my own bridal hair and for my wedding party. She is the only person I trust with my hair and I didn't want to have to worry about my hairstyle on the big day. Throughout the whole process Julie was incredibly helpful and patient as I struggled to decide on a style I liked. She made amazing suggestions and offered many trials to get it right. Julie was also incredibly flexible when Covid postponed my original wedding plans. The final bridal hair on my wedding day was an absolute dream! Elegant and romantic, accented by pearl pins that Julie and I worked on placing together. I felt and looked gorgeous! As an added bonus, all of my bridesmaids did too! Since the wedding all of my girls have been commenting on how much they loved their hair. Julie was especially a hit with my 3 naturally curly head girls. All of our hair smelled amazing and held up after a 12 hour polish reception at the end of Julie. Do yourself a favor and book Julie for your big day. Her calming and fun presence will ease your worried mind and you will be reassured that you and your bridal party will look absolutely stunning! -

I found Julie through a friend who used her for her wedding. If you look at her Instagram her work is also just stunning. Julie did a great job on my hair for my wedding portraits. She was very flexible when I had to switch up my date due to the pandemic. Highly recommend!! -

Julie did such an amazing job on all the ladies in the wedding including myself! She is so creative and professional. I cannot thank her enough for how beautiful everyone’s hair came out! She was able to work with all different textures and lengths of hair. Most importantly my mother in law had brain surgery 6 months ago and had half of her head shaved. Julie was able to make her hair look amazing and you would never even know that half her head had been shaved! We were all in tears! Julie is seriously the best! -

Exceeded expectations!
Julie did an amazing job from the moment I met her for my trial all the way through the wedding day! Julie took the time to listen to my vision and she came up with a beautiful updo that was soft and romantic, but also held up through the entire day. She did the hair for each member of my bridal party, my mother, and my mother in law and everyone looked beautiful! She was on time and worked so efficiently that she finished everyone's hair earlier than expected. I could not recommend Julie enough and I'm so grateful for her part in my wedding day! -

Julie was AMAZING! She made everything so easy, from pre-wedding communications to my hair trial to the big day itself. I absolutely love her style and she gave me and my girls such effortless looks. She’s also so efficient – the wedding morning was super stress free, she made 7 perfect looks so quickly! We were great on timing. Not to mention my style lasted me all night and I absolutely adored it. She’s very professional but also so down-to-earth and fit right in with our crew. I don’t even know where to start because words don’t justice to my experience with Julie. I am so fortunate to have been able to work with her for my wedding and plan to continue going to her in the future. She absolutely blew my away with my wedding hairstyle. It has been over a month at this point and I am still getting compliments on it and I still get mesmerized by it when looking at pictures. Not only did she do an absolutely beautiful job on my hair but also my bridesmaids’ hair. Julie is not only beyond talented and professional but also really fun and easy going. She played a big role in helping me feel less nervous and making my morning so enjoyable. I really can not recommend Julie enough (for wedding and color). -

Julie is awesome. First off, everyone’s hair looked really really beautiful. Her Do’s are so soft and so romantic, exactly how you want to look & feel on your wedding day! Julie is super easy to work with, really quick to respond to emails and just all around great! She arrived early (starting time was 7:30 am) and was done early! No last minute rushing here! I would absolutely recommend her !! -

Julie was recommended to me by a friend who used her for her wedding and boy was I grateful for that recommendation. Julie was the mastermind behind styles for 7 bridesmaids and my hair for me and my (now) husband’s wedding on Saturday 8/24/19. I bought extensions from a vendor she recommended (Foxy Locks) and could not have been happier. The extensions matched my hair color flawlessly and she blended the extensions in perfectly. With a brilliantly executed braid and a few fresh sprigs from the florist, the compliments from guests were endless. All of the bridesmaids were pleased and commented on how fast she was and creative she was with little or no direction. Braids are her specialty! After 10 years in business, you can tell Julie really has an eye for what will and won’t work and makes some very clutch recommendations along the way. Her creativity and ability to think on the fly impressed me. Outside of her styling, she is so responsive, down-to-earth, and easy to work with. The day-of, she moved through styles quickly and kept us on or ahead of schedule making for a smooth day. I will recommend her to other friends and family getting married. -

Absolutely Amazing!!
Julie did an amazing job on my hair for my wedding day as well as for my bridesmaids and my mom. Everyone's hair came out flawless and captured the essence of our inspiration photos we showed her. I was so impressed at how effortless Julie was able to look at an inspiration picture and provide that exact style for everyone. Julie is a braid GODDESS! Almost all of my bridesmaids had one (or TWO!!) braids in their style and they were all unique and captured the "boho vibe" I was going for. Julie made me feel and look so beautiful for my wedding day. When booking, planning and scheduling with Julie, she was very flexible and made it very easy for me. -

Could not ask for more
julie was the best, from my trial appointment through the big day, even when I emailed her a month before and wanted to completely change my look (I ended up not). She came to my site, did my hair plus 5 bridesmaids, and fit in like one of my oldest friends was doing my hair. So many compliments, I even wore the updo to breakfast the next day that’s how perfect it was. If she’s available, book her!! -

I'm absolutely in love with the hairstyle she gave me and my maid-of-honor. She listened to exactly what we wanted and totally delivered. I have curls and often find that stylists try to tame or straighten them in a way that doesn't feel like me, but Julie totally embraced them and did something beautiful. I cannot recommend her enough!

Julie is such a warm person, and that truly made the whole experience of getting ready for the big day a great one. With all of the stress that a wedding brings I did not have to worry or stress once about my hair or for anyone else in my large wedding party (12 in total). We had a big group and not once did we feel rushed and every girl had beautiful styles when finished. Better yet, when a few of the girls wanted slight tweaks to their hair once Julie had done it, she listened and improved the look. Julie is a professional at what she does, listens to what you want, and executes your vision exactly. I went back and forth multiple times on what style I wanted and Julie never made me feel pressured to decide or go one way or another. She gave her professional opinion when asked and in the end I could not have been happier! Thank you Julie for making my day so wonderful and making all of us feel beautiful! -

Theresa Sent on 07/08/2018single handedly one of my best and easiest wedding decisions. Besides her work, which is unbelievable, at my trial, I just felt immediately at ease with her. I was so indecisive and everything I was stressed about she just made it go away. she looked at a couple pictures I showed her and what she did was even better. Then my wedding day, having her there changed the whole vibe of the day. I accidentally scheduled her too late but she came 2 hours earlier even though I made a mistake. she is just the loveliest person I have ever met and was incredible at dealing with very difficult personalities, and did it with a smile on her face. Then when she was doing my hair, she refused to let any of my other vendors make me feel rushed, she Made sure that I looked and felt beautiful and just calmed me down and reminded me everything was fine. It’s weird but memories of getting ready on my wedding day, that one sticks out. Now her work (cue the drools). I have never been complimented so much about myself and my wedding party. Literally one just looked more beautiful then the next. No prommy updos, everything was flowy and beautiful but secure. She incorporated baby breaths and other flowers from a bouquet my sister got me. Each hair she did was creative and unique. Plus, I danced all night and slept in my hair and woke up the next day and it was literally perfect still haha there isn’t enough good to say, just do yourself a favor and book. -

Mindy Sent on 05/14/2018I’m so lucky I was able to work with Julie for my wedding! I’m not the best planner, so I thought anything other than a company who did both hair and makeup together would be too unwieldy in logistics and communication for me to handle. But I was so wrong. From quick emails, paying through Venmo, sending inspiration from Pinterest, scheduling a trial— all of it was so easy with Julie. And I think the best part was how genuinely excited she is for you the whole time, from the first time she saw a picture of my dress to flipping through all the pictures afterward. And then ALSO our hair looked totally fabulous! I even told Julie afterward that she made it so secure that it was as beautiful at 2am as it was at 3pm. Okay and the last thing I’ll say is that getting ready actually might not have been as fun without her :)

When I booked my trial, I had absolutely no clue what I wanted for my day, just that I wanted an up-do and maybe a braid. Julie's creativity and talent was an absolute gift. She was able to take my (very) long hair and creative something so so beautiful! I absolutely loved how my up-do turned out and received countless compliments. It was super windy on my wedding day and my hair stayed flawless through an outdoor ceremony and a night full of dancing. She also worked with each of my maids and my mother in law individually on my day to give them a style that suited them and they all came out SO beautiful. All the girls and my mom / mother-in-law are still raving about how amazing Julie is and the magic she works on hair. She was also super responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process which I really appreciated. I didn't know what I wanted but Julie came up with something that I loved. And, she made all the ladies look amazing from blowouts to updos. Julie is really responsive and has an impressive email/app system. I found Julie online while researching makeup artists and knew I needed a trial. I was not disappointed and could not have been happier on our wedding day. Plus, her updos stay all day and don't hurt or feel tight. I didn't know that was a thing with updos before this.
