Everyone still talks about the food at our wedding almost a year later. We initially hired Dope Soul for a fun food truck experience but got so much more. They thought of everything I hadn't considered. I didn't know they were more than a food truck so when they offered to cater our engagement and rehearsal dinner I was surprised. We went for a tasting and were in love at first bite, not trying to be cheesy. I don't mean this offensively, but I never expected that quality of food to come off a food truck but my guests were so happy with the flavors and generous portion sizes. They just took such great care of everyone and I can say now, I was probably a little bit of a bridezilla but they really put me at ease. They are very friendly and professional. My husband recommends their barbeque but really everything was amazing. They also did some amazing shaved ice since it was so hot outside and if your wedding is in the summer, that's what I recommend. Love you guys, we'll see you soon!

We found and hired dope soul for our may 22nd wedding. We chose them because they assured us we would stay in our budget and they had several good reviews.


Communication was all dealt by one person which was primarily set up by me.


On wedding day we were told the price was substantially higher then discussed which we understnad price can change, we just wish we would have been told before the evening of our wedding.

We reached out via email to discuss issues and were met with hostility and anger. I was then called a bridezilla and was wished ill on our marriage.

After the whole situation unfolded Nicole, Reached out and apologized for the situation and assured that the issues in communication have been handled.


In summary, we hired dope soul in hopes of a budget friendly option but also great food. We did have great food and good service at our wedding and I do appreciate Nicole reaching out. However, are budget was changed without us being made aware and the comments that were made to me and the ill will wished upon my marriage by a hired business and someone you pay a professional rate are unretractable. I truly do appreciate Nicole reaching out and listening and working towards fixing the issue in the future, but at the end of the day it doesn’t take back the awful words that were spoken to me and about my marriage.
