We hired DJ Will Gill back in early 2020 after meeting him at his booth for a wedding convention. We interviewed plenty of DJs and everyone was great, but Will stuck out from the rest with his high energy and charisma. We had to postpone our wedding a couple of times due to COVID and each time he was very understanding and helpful in rescheduling. We were able to choose the exact options we were looking for from his wide and customizable package catalog, and he was able to accommodate the audio set up for the 3 different areas - ceremony, cocktail, and reception - that we had.

In preparation for our wedding, he provided a shared spreadsheet that we could list specific song choices or playlist for each of the reception moments (cocktail hour, dinner, entrance, dance moments, etc.) and any notes to cover in our meeting with him about one month before the wedding day. During the meeting, we went over the song choices, pronunciations of names, and the timeline breakdown of the event so that everything would run as smoothly as possible. Will also worked directly with our coordinator in going over the timeline as well.

On the wedding day, he was a one man production that kept all of the guests entertained, hyped up, and active on the dance floor. Will was on top of everything, sticking perfectly to the timeline, hitting every unique cue that we discussed during our meeting, and was very energetic and professional during each MC announcement and transition to the next moment. Then when it came to the dance floor, Will killed it! Our biggest pet peeves are when DJs don't read the room so they let songs play too long or don't transition well into the next hit. No problem at all for Will! He was always on top of every song, reading everyone's reactions and whether the song was hitting or not, and making the right transition to the next song when the moment called for it. He also kept note of exactly who was on the dance floor, playing the current club and retro hits for the younger crowd, while also catering to the older guests with line dances and oldies whenever they took over the majority. The dance floor was never empty throughout the night and many of our guests complimented the song selection throughout the night and after the party.

For the total package of a wedding MC and DJ, we recommend DJ Will Gill!

Will was DJ/emcee and Zoom host for our 2020 micro wedding. He invested so much of his own time to make our special day the best. He did a site survey to ensure data speed would support Zoom video. He arrived 2 hours early on day of to set up and do mic check and video test. And my Zoom guests absolutely loved him as their host. Two thumbs up for Will!

Will delivered an amazing set for our event that included editing the music for our ceremony, creating a beautiful acoustic ambience for our guests, classy MC skills, and even set up and hosted online streaming via Zoom for our entire event! I hired DJ Will Gill for my May 2020 wedding. As my first vendor choice, I was immediately impressed by his professionalism. I wanted a DJ who was an actual DJ, not DJing as a part time new hobby, and one who was also an entertainer, that's exactly what I found!! Very reasonable prices. He provided my husband and I with a great spreadsheet to use when coming up with our wedding music. When our wedding was postponed due to covid-19, he graciously moved to our new date. Later, our wedding venue burned down and we had to change venues, again he seamlessly transitioned to the new venue. During our prep zoom meeting, he was able to get both my Husband and I excited again about our wedding. The day of the wedding he was dressed professionally. (I've been to far too many weddings where the DJ is not dressed appropriately.) Throughout the wedding, guests continued to comment about the great music and his entertaining skills. He truly got the crowd hyped during our reception, from the wedding party entrances, the shoe game, toasts, and dancing. I'm so grateful to Will for everything he did to make our wedding magical. And most importantly he will turn the night into an epic party with his jams and ability to read a crowd. Will is by far is the most fun, professional, amazing, DJ there ever was...and did I say fun?? He had my 85 year old grandmother on the dance floor. Met up in person with Will to talk about details. He had all his ducks in a row and we could tell he was experienced.

Performance: Loved the confidence and experience I felt through his work. No awkwardness or anything for cause for concern. You can tell he's very good at what he does. In the end, was SUPER happy with Will and would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

I met Will at a bridal show in Los Angeles and we immediately loved his energy and personality! My fiancé and I lived in Sacramento and we were getting married in DTLA. Will was so wonderful and accommodating and chatted with us via FaceTime because of the distance. We immediately knew we wanted to hire him and he would be perfect for our wedding. He had such an easy spreadsheet to help us organizing the music and timeline of our night. He was great at suggesting songs when we needed it and we felt we could trust him to pick songs he thought would flow well with the wedding.
