We were honored to hire DJ Mark and The RunMC services for our wedding reception on 09/30/2023 at The San Diego Natural History Museum. Our reception was 4 hours long: 1 hour cocktail hour where guests could explore the 2nd level of the museum and participate in a scavenger hunt, followed by dinner/dancing on the 1st level. While MC'ing two floors may have been difficult for other MCs/DJs, especially since the guests spoke three different languages, DJ Mark ran the show amazingly. He ran our reception smoothly, hyped the party with his amazing vibes, and ensured that everyone had fun on the dance floor. One of the night's highlights was when DJ Mark got on the dance floor to teach the group how to do one of the line dances. All of our guests loved it, making many who had not thought about joining the dance floor get up so they could join him.

We also used TheRunMC's photo booth for the dinner/dance portion of our wedding, and let me tell you, that photo booth was incredible. Our guests loved the props, and the lines moved fast, allowing many of the guests to return and take more group pictures in the photo booth.

Special thanks to Margaux as well, DJ Mark's assistant. We may not have met in person during the wedding planning process, but she was terrific - fast in communication, gave excellent planning advice, and was overall a great person to work with.

We were able to fully customize our wedding Playlists through the DJMC website! They also took care with all the special notes we had, and being able to submit our different playlists for Ceremony, Cocktail, and Reception through Spotify was a huge plus too. The vibes were great all night and our guests knew exactly what was going on!

DJ Mark was truly one of the best things that could’ve happened to our wedding! From the very beginning, he brought such great energy and knew exactly how to bring our vision to life. He seamlessly incorporated our incredibly diverse group of guests and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long… no small feat!

We received so many compliments about him, and multiple guests told us it was “the best wedding they’ve ever been to.” A few even called it “the wedding of the century,” and we know that had so much to do with Mark — his music choices, the vibes, and the way he made everyone feel connected and comfortable dancing together so effortlessly.

I had the absolute honor of having Mark as both my officiant and DJ for our wedding, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. At first, I wasn’t entirely sure how having one person handle both roles would work—but it just did. Seamlessly. Mark reassured me early on that it’s actually a huge advantage when your officiant also knows all the cues for the music, and he was absolutely right. It made everything feel more connected and intentional.
From the very beginning, Mark was incredibly easy to talk to. He was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Even when a few things didn’t go exactly as planned (as weddings often go), he was calm, quick-thinking, and knew exactly how to smooth things over and get everything back on track without skipping a beat.
As our officiant, Mark took the time to ask thoughtful questions and really get to know us. He kept the ceremony planning completely separate from the music side, which helped everything stay clear and stress-free. His professionalism was evident in every interaction, and he made sure the ceremony felt personal and meaningful.
On the DJ side, he was just as impressive. All of his equipment was set up well in advance, so there was no scrambling or last-minute stress. Honestly, I couldn’t even tell where the speakers were placed—just that the sound was perfect: loud enough to energize the crowd, but never overwhelming. That balance was something I really appreciated.
When it came to music, we barely gave him any direction. Our taste is a little unconventional—emo and reggae—but somehow, Mark managed to curate a playlist that felt like us. Even when we forgot to finish our song list, he filled in the gaps with absolute bangers that kept the energy up and the dance floor full. He clearly paid attention to what we liked and rolled with the punches, adapting in real time to the vibe of the crowd.
His pricing was super reasonable, especially considering the level of service and the dual role he played. More than anything, Mark helped ease my anxiety throughout the process. Knowing he had everything under control allowed me to actually enjoy my wedding day without constantly worrying about logistics.

We were lucky enough to be matched with DJ Bryant for our DJ and MC at our recent wedding! There was some confusion at the beginning because our initial consultation call was scheduled with DJ Mark instead of DJ Bryant, but we were able to learn about what services DJMC Event Consortium could provide and customize it to our day. We ended up booking DJ Bryant for both our ceremony and reception at two separate locations. It was easy for us to upload our song choices, wedding timeline, and music requests to the online portal. DJ Bryant was very professional, flexible, and receptive during our final call before wedding day and offered great suggestions! He did a fantastic job with smooth transitions for our outdoor ceremony! He played fun cocktail music and even played a snippet of our last dance song so that we could practice a few moves before the reception started! He was very organized and helped gather and instruct everyone for our grand entrances! He did an excellent job helping make introductions, making announcements, keeping us on time and being flexible to give me time to change into different outfits without interrupting the flow of our activities! Lastly, he kept everyone up on their feet and dancing on the day floor all night!! Everyone had a blast and we received so many compliments about how fun our reception was!! Though we did hear from the guests that some of their song requests were denied, but overall the song choices were versatile and had something for everyone! DJMC Event Consortium was an affordable price especially for the San Diego area, and we would highly recommend DJ Bryant!!!

Mark was absolutely incredible and made our wedding day something we will never forget. Form the initial call, through the planning process, to the execution on the day of the event, he displayed extreme professionalism, a charismatic charm and an infectious energy that made it a no brainer to hire him for our wedding!! He understood our music desires for all our different touchpoints, from the welcoming of guests, to ceremony, cocktail hour, diner and the open dancing and we had so many people come up to us and say that the music was amazing. As an avid music lover, this was a huge part of our wedding day that I wanted to be spectacular and Mark delivered in every way. Lastly, as an MC, it never felt like he took over too much and since he only spoke during key moments, it encouraged the guests to be most attentive when he did get on the mic. Mark brought great energy and excitement all night and he also dressed to the occasion. Our wedding was black tie and he hit the mark, especially with the mink coat he draped on at the end of the night once the sun went down haha!!! I would 1000% partner with Mark and DJMC for any parties or events in the future!!

DJ Bryant went above and beyond to provide music/entertainment for a mixed cultural wedding(black and Sri Lankan). He was very sweet, respectful and also fun to work with making sure all of our questions were answered and expectations were fulfilled. Thanks again Dj Bryant would 10/10 recommend!! Our wedding was such a vibe! DJ Mark brought such great energy from start to finish. From our first encounter by phone, we knew we could trust him. DJ Mark took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple which really translated through the music. Needless to say, DJ Mark understood the assignment!

On top of that, his personality and energy was very positive and uplifting.

Bryant was very responsive to the audience, e.g. he offered different cultural music for the cultures represented. He kept the party going! All were complimentary.
He also coordinated/coached the wedding participants in a flawless ceremony. He anticipated possible glitches and prevented them by excellent communication. He was very organized, had great equipment (including a remote for managing the music when also managing people during the ceremony), and he was respectful and humble.
