DJ Mark Jones and TheRunMC are the best!
If you are looking for DJ/MC services for your event, look no further than The RunMC and DJ Mark Jones. They have the best prices in town, their team is fantastic, and they know how to work a wedding as seasoned professionals.
We were honored to hire DJ Mark and The RunMC services for our wedding reception on 09/30/2023 at The San Diego Natural History Museum. Our reception was 4 hours long: 1 hour cocktail hour where guests could explore the 2nd level of the museum and participate in a scavenger hunt, followed by dinner/dancing on the 1st level. While MC'ing two floors may have been difficult for other MCs/DJs, especially since the guests spoke three different languages, DJ Mark ran the show amazingly. He ran our reception smoothly, hyped the party with his amazing vibes, and ensured that everyone had fun on the dance floor. One of the night's highlights was when DJ Mark got on the dance floor to teach the group how to do one of the line dances. All of our guests loved it, making many who had not thought about joining the dance floor get up so they could join him.
We also used TheRunMC's photo booth for the dinner/dance portion of our wedding, and let me tell you, that photo booth was incredible. Our guests loved the props, and the lines moved fast, allowing many of the guests to return and take more group pictures in the photo booth.
Special thanks to Margaux as well, DJ Mark's assistant. We may not have met in person during the wedding planning process, but she was terrific - fast in communication, gave excellent planning advice, and was overall a great person to work with.

DJ Bryant is the man!
We were able to fully customize our wedding Playlists through the DJMC website! They also took care with all the special notes we had, and being able to submit our different playlists for Ceremony, Cocktail, and Reception through Spotify was a huge plus too. The vibes were great all night and our guests knew exactly what was going on!

Heartbeat of our Wedding!
DJ Mark was truly one of the best things that could’ve happened to our wedding! From the very beginning, he brought such great energy and knew exactly how to bring our vision to life. He seamlessly incorporated our incredibly diverse group of guests and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long… no small feat!
We received so many compliments about him, and multiple guests told us it was “the best wedding they’ve ever been to.” A few even called it “the wedding of the century,” and we know that had so much to do with Mark — his music choices, the vibes, and the way he made everyone feel connected and comfortable dancing together so effortlessly.

Ceremony to Dance Floor: Mark Delivered
I had the absolute honor of having Mark as both my officiant and DJ for our wedding, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. At first, I wasn’t entirely sure how having one person handle both roles would work—but it just did. Seamlessly. Mark reassured me early on that it’s actually a huge advantage when your officiant also knows all the cues for the music, and he was absolutely right. It made everything feel more connected and intentional.
From the very beginning, Mark was incredibly easy to talk to. He was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Even when a few things didn’t go exactly as planned (as weddings often go), he was calm, quick-thinking, and knew exactly how to smooth things over and get everything back on track without skipping a beat.
As our officiant, Mark took the time to ask thoughtful questions and really get to know us. He kept the ceremony planning completely separate from the music side, which helped everything stay clear and stress-free. His professionalism was evident in every interaction, and he made sure the ceremony felt personal and meaningful.
On the DJ side, he was just as impressive. All of his equipment was set up well in advance, so there was no scrambling or last-minute stress. Honestly, I couldn’t even tell where the speakers were placed—just that the sound was perfect: loud enough to energize the crowd, but never overwhelming. That balance was something I really appreciated.
When it came to music, we barely gave him any direction. Our taste is a little unconventional—emo and reggae—but somehow, Mark managed to curate a playlist that felt like us. Even when we forgot to finish our song list, he filled in the gaps with absolute bangers that kept the energy up and the dance floor full. He clearly paid attention to what we liked and rolled with the punches, adapting in real time to the vibe of the crowd.
His pricing was super reasonable, especially considering the level of service and the dual role he played. More than anything, Mark helped ease my anxiety throughout the process. Knowing he had everything under control allowed me to actually enjoy my wedding day without constantly worrying about logistics.
I wholeheartedly recommend Mark to anyone looking for an officiant, a DJ, or—if you’re lucky—both. He’s a true professional, a calming presence, and someone who genuinely cares about making your day unforgettable. I’m so grateful we found him.

Highly recommend DJ Bryant!!!
We were lucky enough to be matched with DJ Bryant for our DJ and MC at our recent wedding! There was some confusion at the beginning because our initial consultation call was scheduled with DJ Mark instead of DJ Bryant, but we were able to learn about what services DJMC Event Consortium could provide and customize it to our day. We ended up booking DJ Bryant for both our ceremony and reception at two separate locations. It was easy for us to upload our song choices, wedding timeline, and music requests to the online portal. DJ Bryant was very professional, flexible, and receptive during our final call before wedding day and offered great suggestions! He did a fantastic job with smooth transitions for our outdoor ceremony! He played fun cocktail music and even played a snippet of our last dance song so that we could practice a few moves before the reception started! He was very organized and helped gather and instruct everyone for our grand entrances! He did an excellent job helping make introductions, making announcements, keeping us on time and being flexible to give me time to change into different outfits without interrupting the flow of our activities! Lastly, he kept everyone up on their feet and dancing on the day floor all night!! Everyone had a blast and we received so many compliments about how fun our reception was!! Though we did hear from the guests that some of their song requests were denied, but overall the song choices were versatile and had something for everyone! DJMC Event Consortium was an affordable price especially for the San Diego area, and we would highly recommend DJ Bryant!!!

Mark Brought the Vibes!!!
Mark was absolutely incredible and made our wedding day something we will never forget. Form the initial call, through the planning process, to the execution on the day of the event, he displayed extreme professionalism, a charismatic charm and an infectious energy that made it a no brainer to hire him for our wedding!! He understood our music desires for all our different touchpoints, from the welcoming of guests, to ceremony, cocktail hour, diner and the open dancing and we had so many people come up to us and say that the music was amazing. As an avid music lover, this was a huge part of our wedding day that I wanted to be spectacular and Mark delivered in every way. Lastly, as an MC, it never felt like he took over too much and since he only spoke during key moments, it encouraged the guests to be most attentive when he did get on the mic. Mark brought great energy and excitement all night and he also dressed to the occasion. Our wedding was black tie and he hit the mark, especially with the mink coat he draped on at the end of the night once the sun went down haha!!! I would 1000% partner with Mark and DJMC for any parties or events in the future!!

DJ Bryant went above and beyond to provide music/entertainment for a mixed cultural wedding(black and Sri Lankan). He was very sweet, respectful and also fun to work with making sure all of our questions were answered and expectations were fulfilled. Thanks again Dj Bryant would 10/10 recommend!! Dj mark is amazing!
Our wedding was such a vibe! DJ Mark brought such great energy from start to finish. From our first encounter by phone, we knew we could trust him. Bryant was very responsive to the audience, e.g. he offered different cultural music for the cultures represented. He kept the party going! All were complimentary.
He also coordinated/coached the wedding participants in a flawless ceremony. He anticipated possible glitches and prevented them by excellent communication. He was very organized, had great equipment (including a remote for managing the music when also managing people during the ceremony), and he was respectful and humble.

We had the pleasure of working with Mark Jones for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the start, he was extremely responsible and communicative. We had thorough discussions about the song list and overall vibe we were hoping for, and he really took the time to understand our preferences.
We also had a few songs we wanted to play that were outside of his usual system, and he was more than accommodating—coordinating everything seamlessly so that nothing was missed.
On the big day, the timing of the music during the ceremony and reception was absolutely perfect. Every key moment was matched with the right song, which made everything feel extra special. Later in the night, he guided the crowd effortlessly into group dancing, and the energy was fantastic! Our guests had a great time, and many of them told us how much they enjoyed the music and the vibe.
We truly appreciate Mark’s professionalism, flexibility, and talent. Highly recommend him for any event where music matters!

Very Professional and Great Vendor!
It was a pleasure to work with DJMC Event Consortium! Since October 2024, they have been very responsive and have helped me to figure out our needs for our wedding. We mainly worked with Mark and DJ Bryant. They were very professional throughout the whole process. The company provided DJ and Photo booth services.
During our ceremony, we had a few things that needed adjustments and DJ Bryant was ready and willing to help us navigate them. Also, he was able to format a 40 year recording of my grandparents' performing to play during our ceremony and a special mix for the wedding party to walk down to during the reception. Our dance floor was never empty during the reception!

DJ Mark for P&Y's Wedding
Mark was an awesome wedding DJ! From the start, he brought great energy and got the crowd involved with fun shout-outs like "make some noise!" and "how’s everyone feeling tonight?" This kept the party going and made the atmosphere lively.
Mark also played all of our favorite songs and did a great job reading the crowd. He even freestyled a bit when the vibe was right, which kept things fresh and fun throughout the event.
Mark was also helpful with facilitating wedding games and announcements. He made sure everything ran smoothly and on time.
When we had to move the wedding indoors last minute and no longer needed to rent his projector screen, Mark was super understanding and worked with us to update our contract. His flexibility was genuinely appreciated.

We highly recommend DJ Nathan from DJMC Events Consortium as a wedding DJ! He was wonderful to work with from start to finish! He took the time to get to know us and our music preferences right from the get go and also took into account our wedding guest makeup to ensure every song he played would be a hit! We had a DJ portal where we could input ceremony songs, cocktail hour and dinner music selections, and dancing song requests including sections for do not play songs, play if possible songs, and the must plays. Nathan made sure to touch base with us as well our wedding coordinator closer to the wedding day to run through the entire day’s schedule. He was punctual, professional, prepared, and got the vibe exactly right for each part of our day. We appreciated his mic presence which was effective in the right moments and in no way over the top, exactly what we wanted. He played our first dance song and parent dance songs from the precise start and finish points we requested. During the open dancing, he was flexible in playing songs requested in the moment by our guests and mixing everything seamlessly. We had so much fun! We are so happy we picked Nathan to be our wedding DJ and we recommend him highly for your wedding or special event!

Amazing DJ and wedding services group!
From start to finish, working with DJMC Event Consortium was nothing short of amazing. Our wedding was a little bit different in that we set up on top of a rock in a national forest, this required some flexibility from our vendors and DJMC Event Consortium was incredibly helpful. They answered all our questions and helped us think through the best options for us, keeping our best interest in mind the entire time. Not only that, but DJ Bryant was so friendly, professional and just all around amazing. He listened to our music preferences and the unique set up of both our ceremony venue and our reception venue and executed all of it perfectly. We couldn't be happier with the outcome! We even had a last minute issue with a power source for the ceremony which he was fully prepared to step in and help with. Multiple guests told us it was the best audio for a ceremony they ever heard, which is extra impressive given the location and near technical issue!
We also got the 4 hour photobooth and that was a huge hit with both adults and the children at our wedding. When they didn't have a backdrop we loved, they went above and beyond to find one that we would. And they brought a bunch of props!

DJ Cameron and DJMC, in general, was amazing from the beginning to end. We had several calls with Cameron to nail down what we wanted and he delivered! Our guests are still complimenting us about his mixes, lighting, and energy. My favorite part of the night was a mix he made to 'Reading Rainbow'. DJ Mark was a joy to collaborate with from the very beginning! He brought the energy and enthusiasm from our first consultation over the phone and it did not waver until the end of the last song at the wedding a year later! During our last meeting, he was extremely cognizant of the wide variety of cultural backgrounds and made sure that everyone felt included which we appreciated so much. DJ Mark was able to accommodate our wide range of song requests seamlessly and read the vibe of the party correctly at every turn! Whether it was warming the party up during cocktail hour with emo music, starting the party with our parents on the dance floor with some 80s classics and cumbia, directing the Cupid shuffle by joining on the dance floor himself, or even turning the wedding into a rave, DJ Mark exceeded all expectations! DJ Mark was above and beyond my expectations. Besides the amazing energy he brought to the dance floor, he was able to emcee having last minute changes the itinerary as well as last minute venue change due to the rain. He made our day super special and guests could not stay off of the dance floor! We appreciate the preparation that went into this as well as he provides you with an online form to input all of your preferred songs etc. Definitely recommend!

The dance floor was alive ALL night

We had DJ Bryant come out for our event and he was amazing from the start! We collaborated prior to the event and he was so personable and had great energy. The night of the event, he was kind courteous friendly and definitely brought the fun, hype and excitement I was hoping for! Our experience with Dancing DJ Productions made our wedding planning so much smoother. Payment was easy and affordable in my opinion. We really loved having full access during the planning process to choose our playlists for the big day from cocktail hour, dinner, must plays, and do not play. Our minds changed several times about music as time went on, and it was so easy to make the changes on our end.
We really enjoyed DJ Mark’s energy, similar music taste as well as his versatility in music, and kindness as he checked in with us and made sure our wants were met. Bryant was professional, communicated well, and made our wedding day perfect! Leading up to our wedding day he repeatedly checked in with us and was available for all of my questions. He showed up early on our wedding day to go through the timeline and have plenty of time to set up. He had mics and great speakers. He was a perfect MC for the ceremony/cocktail hour. After the second dinner ended, the dance floor was full for the next few hours with all our guests (of all ages). He didn't make the day about him (as we have seen wedding DJs do at other weddings) but he catered to our requests and needs PERFECTLY. DJ Mark was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Communication was simple and his response were prompt. We provided him a large playlist of songs for the day and indicated which ones we wanted at specific points in the night, for the ones we weren't too sure, we let him decide where to play them. We also asked for very high energy introductions and we got high energy all night! On the day of, things progressed smoothly and he checked in on us throughout the night to make sure things were going as planned or if we wanted to make any adjustments to the timeline. The music was great and plenty of people were on the dance floor. I had made some requests for specific songs to be immediately played and he transitioned to them without any issues!

DJ Bryant I will highly recommend! For my first daughter wedding I only wanted the best and to make their wedding a night they would never forget. DJ Bryant really has it together from the first time we made contact. I was impress with the organization and how he has everything together to help you not to worry about the DJ. He arrived in plenty of time to set up and what a job he did with the music. I love how he would announce thing’s timely and didn’t make it a radio program with all the talking. DJ Mark was incredible. From our first phone call, his professionalism, charisma, and amazing vibe jumped out. On the wedding day, he was an integral part to making our day perfect — choosing the perfect music before the ceremony, during cocktail hour, and throughout the night including the dancing, he was so smooth on his transitions and letting our guests know what was coming up and want to expect, he was excited about our special requests (such as NBA intros for our wedding party), and he was brilliant in his way he got everyone involved dancing (even helping get the dancing going by dancing with all of us!). Mark was great to work with for weddings. The service was streamlined and easy to add music to be played through the different phases of the evening. We were able to easily find songs that were more cultural and add them into the playlist catalog. The sound design was wonderful with everyone with a speaking role being heard well. Mark was able to play our favorite songs and able to adapt to any requests from the bride and groom when certain songs were requested. I remember a lot of dancing at our wedding and we were also able to stay on task with any additional activities we had planned throughout the night. I would recommend Mark to anyone having trouble deciding who to pick to DJ at their wedding.

The RunMC and DJ Mark are the BEST!!
Our DJ, Mark, was the best! He was very helpful and responsive during the planning process, which definitely helped relieve pre-wedding stress. His music choices during our wedding was fantastic. We had a lot of dancing time allotted, and the dance floor was consistently packed. So many of our guests raved about how much fun they had during open dancing and had so many compliments for DJ Mark.

Very Professional and Accommodating
DJ Mark did a great job at our wedding! He was very professional and sent check in emails along the way. I liked the DJ Portal as well so we could choose a few “must play” songs and we were able to discuss specific things we wanted and DJ Mark delivered. He also just had a cool and fun swag overall. Would recommend!

Did Not Disappoint
DJ Bryant was the MC at my 40th birthday party and he was wonderful! He was very responsive leading up to the event and I felt confident he would show up prepared and ready to do a great job. The party was on a boat and he was really flexible working with the limited space and connection challenges. The music was excellent- he worked with my playlist and incorporated other songs that perfectly matched the vibe I was going for. He got everyone excited and signed up for karaoke and worked really hard to find all of the songs we requested. He even did some background vocals. He had positive energy throughout the whole event. And most importantly, he's a really nice guy. I had an amazing time! I highly recommend DJ Bryant.

Wonderful experience
We were referred to DJ Mark from a mutual friend. I heard that he also works at 5k/10k events and thought that is the type of energy we need at our wedding and he did not disappoint! Our guests had great things to say about him too.
During our initial consult, I felt that my needs were heard and Mark had ideas on how to keep the guests engaged. He did regular check ins leading up to the wedding and that helped ease my anxiety. I discussed our nervousness about having the spotlight on us and we came up with a signal/cue to give him when we wanted a transition and he was such a lifesaver!
I warned Mark that my family may try to hijack the night and requested he has control of the mic so when the wedding coordinator told him we were doing speeches, he did not budge! The wedding coordinator told me that the DJ said he won’t give anyone the mic and my response was, “great, he’s doing his job!” Regardless of our efforts lol he was very adaptable when the schedule changed.
Mark was also flexible during set up because it was raining. He graciously helped direct guests to the right area. Transitions went smoothly and because he was prepared you would have never known there were any hiccups. He has a really great way of keeping the itinerary and playlist organized.
We highly recommend hiring Mark for any of your future events!

Exceptional!
In addition to being an incredible DJ, DJ Mark was one of the most professional, thoughtful, and kind people we have met. We are so impressed with his knowledge and ability to make sure that there is a little bit of music for everyone. From the pre-ceremony to the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner to the dance floor. It was just an amazing time. Clearly DJ Mark spent a lot of time preparing for our event - and this showed during our phone calls with him. He was attentive and informative. We knew we trusted him from the first phone call and had no doubts that he would be able to get people out on the dance floor - and that he absolutely did. We also received numerous compliments from our guests - they just loved him! We have nothing but great things to say. On a scale of 1 to 10, he's a 20. What a night to remember.

What a party!

Incredible DJ
DJ Mark was 100% exactly what we were looking for! He was an incredible communicator as we planned for the event, and we were confident he knew our vision! He took the time to add in all our requests and made us feel so excited about our event! And we just felt the vibe that he knew exactly what he was doing! And boy did he! DJ Mark was a killer DJ at our wedding! He did both the music for our ceremony as well as reception and was flawless in both settings! It’s always a fear that no one will be dancing or that it will be a dead dance floor, but wow! He had everyone out of their seats dancing the whole night! Rockstar DJ! 10/10 recommend!

DJ Mark brought the fun!
From the moment DJ Mark was assigned to us, he was nothing but friendly and professional, always getting back to us and communicating with us promptly and with genuine eagerness. We did not get to meet in person until the day of the wedding, but we had several productive phone conversations along the way and throughout the planning process, none of our vendors made us feel more comfortable and more excited for our big day than Mark did. On the day of the wedding, Mark probably brought the biggest smile to the venue, besides my bride's smile and mine, of course. From the start of the ceremony, he was on top of the playlist, combining our choices along with reading the room to create the perfect atmosphere. The dance floor was occupied all night long and all of our guests stayed until the very end, something I do not see very often. I credit this to Mark and the vibes he brought to our night. We were very appreciative of all of his efforts and the fun energy he provided, he was incredibly nice and generous with us and it was the best value we had for any of our vendors. If we were planning another similar event, we would specifically reach out to Mark any time we do!

Dj Mark was the perfect match
We are SO grateful to DJ Mark not only for the amazing vibe he created on our big day, but also to how responsive and helpful he was throughout the entire planning process. My husband and I really felt connected to him from our first phone call, and it was so clear that he wanted to learn more about us and our relationship and our vision for the day. The online planning portal helped streamline all the information we needed to provide him, and he called the week before our big day to go over every detail together to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. So many of our guests came up to us during our event and in the weeks since the wedding to tell us that they have never been to a wedding where so many people were on the dance floor the ENTIRE time and stayed until the end to dance! Thank you DJ Mark for bringing our vision to life and for creating a sound and energy that truly represented not only my husband and I, but all of the family and friends who had come to celebrate with us.

Dj mark brought the party!
We were able to talk with DJ Mark before hiring him to get a better sense of his energy and let him know more about our musical preferences. Right away, it was clear he was experienced, energetic, and very professional. After officially booking, we used the portal to hone in on our preferences and select songs for key moments like our grand entrance and first dance.
We decided not to put too many songs in our "Must Play" list, and rather just gave DJ Mark a general direction to go in, so in our final meeting before the big day we told him we liked 90s and 00's hip hop, and his response was, "Say less. I got you." And he DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The dance floor was completely packed for the entire reception, and we had so many guests comment on how amazing our DJ was!

Great Party
Dj Mark was great, awesome party! His MC skills are natural and he was very smooth in transitioning wedding guests through speeches, cake, and bouquet toss, and he even led a dance on the dance floor. His energy level was high and positive. We also had a photo booth which was run smoothly and the operator was very kind.

Our Dance Floor was Bumpin!

DJ Mark was an amazing DJ we could have had at our wedding. He met our needs and made the whole experience easy from music selection to final selections and timeline. He was professional and kept the vibes flowing all night. We did not have to worry at all about changing the music or experiencing those awkward pauses throughout our event. DJ Mark was amazing! The entire hiring process was quick and painless. I was super picky with hiring a DJ because we wanted both English and Arabic music but Mark made me feel comfortable right away. Best DJ Ever!!
DJ Mark made our wedding such a success! He took thought and care into making sure that our wedding stayed a dance party the entire time. We gave him a little direction and he KILLED it! He got all the old people dancing and kept the young people dancing! His crossfades were amazing and when he realized that no one knew the song he quickly switched it up and kept the dance floor going! He was an expert emcee and was very classy and professional. He has a great sense of style. He guided the party superbly and the event went smoothly as a result. I'd pick him again in a heartbeat if we did it all over again!

Everything went as planned, 10/10
Connected with DJ Mark about 3 months out from our wedding and he was helpful and responsive throughout the entire time, not just at the 11th hour. We had a fairly small wedding (~80) and many older, wouldn’t describe our attendees as hype. Mark kept saying he would read the room and adjust on the fly as needed to match the energy, and everything went perfectly. The transitions during the reception were seamless, from toast introductions, entrance, cake, everything flowed perfectly. Many of our guests have commented that our wedding was very fluid, that it was never stagnant, that the tone and tempo was perfect, and that is in large part due to DJ Mark being the soundtrack and emcee for the day. Would definitely recommend.

Dj mark is a must
Well my wedding was about a month ago and let me just say....everyone is still RAVING about DJ Mark. My friends from the east coast were asking if he could be flown out to be the dj for their wedding! He was amazing. He was so responsive ahead of time, so go with the flow and just amazing. He read the crowd soooo well and knew exactly what songs to play and when. He even came out and danced with us for the Cupid shuffle. Everyone is raving about him, I am so proud and honored to have him as our dj. Hopefully you're not too busy over the next few years because ALL of my friends want him for their events. Seriously thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. You made our day truly
