I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding where the food truly wowed me — until my own. And that’s entirely thanks to Dishes by Design and the incredible Melissa. From start to finish, working with her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

Finding a caterer had been a bit of a challenge for us, but everything changed when we met Melissa. Right away, we were drawn to her amazing energy and sense of humor. She’s direct, honest, and so easy to work with — which made decision-making feel like a breeze. You always know where you stand with her, and that kind of clarity is such a gift when you're planning a wedding.

And then there’s the food — unbelievable. We’re still getting compliments from guests who can’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. Narrowing down the menu was the hardest part because everything we tried was that good. In fact, we loved it all so much that we asked Melissa to cater our rehearsal dinner too (I still dream about those crab cakes).

The appetizers, the dinner, the presentation — everything was spot-on. Service was punctual, professional, and exactly what we had hoped for. Melissa and her team made it all feel effortless, and we could not be more grateful.

We worked with Melissa at Dishes by Design for our wedding, and their services were exceptional from start to finish. From the very beginning, they were incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in ensuring that our culinary experience was nothing short of perfect.
During the cocktail hour, they provided an outstanding grazing board that our guests are still talking about. The selection was diverse and beautifully presented, with an array of cheeses, cured meats, dips, and breads.
For dinner, DBD seamlessly facilitated a buffet for 130 guests. The setup was efficient, and the food was abundant and hot. Despite the large number of guests, the service was smooth and timely, ensuring that everyone enjoyed their meal without any delays. We ordered the Bruscetta Chicken, Beef Brisket, White Chedder Mac and Cheese, Green Beans and New Baby Potatoes. Our guests seriously have not stopped raving about the food, specifically the Brisket and Mac and Cheese! We are biased, but we both agree that this was one of the best wedding meals we’ve ever had!
One of the most impressive aspects of working with DBD was the effortless decision-making process. Melissa guided us through the tasting with expertise and patience, offering valuable suggestions and accommodating our preferences easily. Melissa understood our vision and executed it flawlessly, making the entire planning process stress-free and enjoyable. They even plated our “Pittsburgh Cookie Table” and maintained it throughout the entire reception.
We are incredibly grateful to Melissa and the DBD team for their outstanding service and dedication to making our wedding day unforgettable. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking a wedding caterer!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone RAVE about a meal at a wedding reception but that was the case at our daughter’s wedding!! Starting with appetizers everything was absolutely delicious, the presentation was gorgeous, and such an amazing variety! Definitely go with a buffet so that your guests get to taste more of Toni’s menu choices! She even packaged all of our leftovers and I was able to feed out of town company for the rest of the weekend! Highly recommend!!

We couldn't recommend Toni and her team enough. We got married almost three weeks ago and people are STILL talking about how good the food was and how they wish they would have gone up for a third serving (and the leftovers were the gift that kept on giving after the wedding!). All of the wait staff were so incredibly kind and professional as well. Just a high-class company all around!

Dishes by Design was a preferred vendor for our venue (Peacock Ridge Farms) and would be in charge of our bar package, so we knew we needed to check them out right away. To be honest - Toni and her team were the only caterer we even looked at... our tasting was THAT GOOD. She wow-ed us right off the bat, not only with her cooking, the quality of the food, the price, the amount of options.. but also with her genuine, down-to-earth and kind heart. She is such a wonderful and pleasant vendor to work with and we were so thankful to have her on our vendor team. DBD knows the in's and out's of Peacock Ridge and it was entirely evident on that day - they handled the entire day with grace and professionalism. Our guests RAVED about our food! Multiple times. And on top of it, my husband and I *actually* got to eat our dinner on our wedding night and we can truly say: the food was phenomenal. If you're on the fence, do us a favor and just reach out to Toni... I promise she'll make it all worth it!

My husband and I got married 10/11/19 and we had dishes by design cater. The food was AMAZING and we’ve received tons of compliments on how good it was! Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. I would HIGHLY recommend.
