My husband has been buying from Diamonds by Janet for over 20+ years. Janet has the largest diamond selection at the Bowery. Each diamond piece is more magnificent than the other. When we got married in February 2003, he purchased my engagement and wedding band from her. My husband doesn't like to wear rings so Janet assisted me in buying an Omega Seamaster stainless steel watch and gave us a white gold band engraved with our initials imbedded to the bracelet of the watch as a wedding gift. She did an amazing job. We recommend her to all our friends for her quality of work, prices and spectacular service. My husband still surprises with gifts purchased from Janet. The latest was a heart shape pendant & chain. Can't wait for my birthday.

Janet and her staff create wonders. I love all her pieces. We both got our wedding bands there and the deal was great. They even engraves the bands for $20. We were also able to leave that day with our rings. They cleaned my E. Ring soo nicely too for free and it wasnt purchsed there. I will be using her forever!!

I might argue they should be higher, but I honestly haven?t been to some of the others on the list, so I wouldn?t be the most objective critique. If any one is looking for a custom jewelry piece, Diamonds By Janet is the place to get it. I have bought both our diamond engagement ring and wedding bands from then as well as other jewelry. For our 5th anniversary, I had them rework the engagement ring and it turned out absolutely beautiful. We get complemented almost daily about the way it looks. I really can say enough good things about Janet. My family has been using Janet for about 20 year as our family jeweler and I will not go any where else!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM HER. She’s a scammer and a liar. She sold me and my husband our wedding bands and we have had problems with the quality of both pieces. A diamond fell out of my ring after less than a month (I didn’t wear it to work, took it off to wash my hands and shower, and was very careful with it). She put another diamond in its place and blamed me for it falling out. As soon as I put the ring back on that she fixed, another diamond fell out. My husband’s ring was supposed to be white gold. It is even stated on our receipt that it should be white gold. We have since come to find out that she actually sold us a yellow gold ring dipped in white. The ring is tarnished and discolored. She refuses to refund us for the ring and insists that she “is losing money on us”. She denies that it’s dipped even after two other jewelers have confirmed it. DO NOT BUY FROM HER. SHE WILL RIP YOU OFF
