Jody, principal designer and owner of Designs By Jody, Inc, is a highly educated and locally renown florist. She studied at the Parsons School of Design, then pursued a teaching career at Lake Forest Country Day School until opening her shop in 1979. She also rewrote curriculum for Ryerson Woods for the Lake County Forest Preserve, providing students an immersive experience to learn about local flora and fauna.
