The West Lawn ceremony location is perfect for hosting a memorable outdoor ceremony, with panoramic views and lush scenery. Steps away from the ceremony space is the Dayclub & Lakeshore Terrace, a casual entertaining area with full waterfront views and sunset backdrops to host your guests for cocktail hour and late-night fun after dinner. After the cocktail hour, you and your guests can stroll across the hall to the Leelanau Ballroom for an unforgettable evening of dinner and dancing with up to 175 friends and family. The venue spaces available include the Waterfront West Lawn Ceremony Space, Leelanau Ballroom, Dayclub & Lakeshore Terrace Pergola & Patio. Charming city-chic decor with a destination-wedding feel awaits couples who choose to hold their special day at Delamar Traverse City.

Services Offered

Delamar Traverse City is a full-service destination venue. All catering is provided by our onsite restaurant, Artisan, which offers delicious, local farm-to-table cuisine. While our wedding package offers great options, couples are able to work with our chef to create a menu specific to their vision and palate. This truly offers a unique, customized experience for their big day. Delamar Traverse City does not allow any outside food and beverage vendors, other than wedding cakes. If couples require any services that are not offered by the Delamar, we are happy to offer referrals to trusted vendors in the area. The hotel also offers the following additional amenities:

The dream wedding venue

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Delamar! From the moment we first toured the property, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our big day. The waterfront ceremony was absolutely breathtaking, and it created the perfect backdrop for our wedding event.

The staff went above and beyond from start to finish and Susan was an absolute gem, helping us plan every detail with such care. On the day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly thanks to their expertise and attention to detail. We really felt like guests at our own event!

Our guests are still raving about the ambiance and the exceptional service. The space was beautifully set up, the transitions between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner were seamless, and the entire evening felt magical.
We’re so grateful for the memories created here and would choose it again in a heartbeat!

Wedding Reception

We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding at the Delamar Hotel! My now husband and I originally spent part of our first date on the hotel's outdoor patio facing the bay. Once engaged we were estatic that the hotel was an option to host our wedding reception. From our initial inquiry, Susan, Kim, and Erikah were outstanding in helping to make our wedding the most perfect day. Every step of the way they were available and equally as excited and enthusiastic in coordinating every minute detail for our reception. I cannot thank them enough for making the process of planning a wedding that much easier for the incredible task that it is! Everything from our initial meetings, to our tasting, tours of the space, etc was met with the best communication, professionalism, and genuine kindness. We live locally, so it was truly a treat each time we met with them to discuss our reception, and are excited to continue our relationship with them post wedding! From the waterfront views, the outstanding catering via the Artisan Restaurant, and of course the amazing work and collaboration with the events team- the Delamar is truly a gem in TC and a perfect wedding venue. We highly recommend the Delamar hotel. Thank you so much to Susan, Kim, Erikah, and their entire team for giving us the greatest day that we will never forget!

Best venue, food & wedding experience!

BEST VENUE, FOOD & WEDDING EXPERIENCE! Our wedding was middle of June this year at the Delamar. We toured many venues in Northern Michigan and Southeast Michigan. From day one, the Delamar felt like the perfect place. It starts with Susan, who is the best. She is so friendly, accommodating, and kind. Susan, Kim, and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to make your wedding day special. Cannot recommend them enough. Having hotel rooms and the reception all in one place makes the day so smooth and easy for guests & the wedding party. The food & drinks were incredible, and we recieved so many compliments from our guests. On top of all this, you can’t beat a reception on the bay! Wouldn’t change a thing if we had to do it all over again. Thank you to the Delamar team for making our day so special!

September 2024 Wedding

Our September 2024 wedding ceremony and reception at the Delamar Hotel was fantastic! With a love of nature, we were impressed by the stunning views of Lake Michigan Bay and the indoor/outdoor options for our special day.

The staff at the Delamar ensured every detail was perfect. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made us and our guests feel special. Our outdoor ceremony by the lake was beautiful, and the reception in the ballroom was well-organized and clean. The event and banquet teams were very easy to work with. We live in the Metro Detroit area and Susan and her team were very accommodating to scheduling meetings when we visited the area.

After our menu tasting, we knew our guests would love the food, and the Delamar delivered perfectly. As foodies, this was important to us! As the bride, we had a getting ready suite that was perfect size for all of the bridesmaids, hair and makeup teams to get ready in.

We are incredibly grateful to the Delamar for making our wedding day unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue with stunning views, top-notch service, and a team that genuinely cares about your event, look no further than the Delamar. Great Venue! Amazing FOOD!

Our wedding at The Delamar was a dream. We planned our wedding in 5 months, on Labor Day weekend. We thought we were crazy. The Venue Coordinator, Susan, assured us that we weren't and that other couples were also looking at dates around the same time. Every question I had was answered throughout the whole process and came with suggestions as well. Working with Susan and Kim was great. So easy to talk to and throw ideas around, especially when you're a bride that does not have everything figured out. As a bride, I wanted our wedding to be stress free and for the most part, it was. A huge part of that goes out to the staff. Everyone from the front desk to the door man and the wait staff, they were all so accommodating and just grateful to be there. On our actual wedding day we were checked on multiple times, "do you need anything" or "can I get you anything". It felt great. One of the reasons we chose The Delamar was the FOOD, well and the view helps. The food is amazing!!!! Most times, wedding or catering food is just ok, but The Artisan, again amazing. Having your venue at a hotel was a big thing for us. You don't have to worry about transportation, if something happens or you forget something, all your things are right there. If we had to it all over again, we would. We threw a great party, thanks to The Delamar, Susan and Kim!

Highly recommend the Delamar!

We had our wedding reception at the Delamar this past August and I could not recommend the venue enough. From the very beginning of the planning stages to our wedding day, Susan, Kim, Erikah and the entire Delamar team were so amazing and easy to work with. They were prompt in answering any email or concern, they were flexible in meeting with us when we were in town, helped with our room block changes, accommodated menu and tasting requests (not to mention the food was awesome!), and just overall went above and beyond to make our entire wedding weekend so special. Our guests loved staying at the Delamar and especially enjoyed the newly renovated patio and live music throughout the weekend. With the hotel being on the water and in close proximity to downtown Traverse City, you really can't beat the location. We will forever be grateful to Susan and team for helping make our wedding an amazing memory for both us and our guests!

Can't Wait To Be Back Here!!!!

I recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at The Delamar, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we began planning, their team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Kim and Susan are both amazing and so accommodating! The service was absolutely top-notch—attentive, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile.

The food? Phenomenal! The catering was exquisite, with a diverse selection of dishes that impressed every guest. Not only was the quality impeccable, but the presentation was beautiful too. The bartending staff was equally outstanding, keeping the drinks flowing with skill and charm.

If you’re looking for a venue with amazing food, exceptional service, and a staff that truly cares about making your event special, The Delamar is the place to be. I can't wait to host another event here!

Great Wedding Weekend Experience

We just celebrated my daughters wedding this past weekend and had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Delamar. From start to finish, Susan and team took away any concerns with planning from out of state. They were responsive and on top of all of our questions. We leveraged the Day Club and Lakeshore - food and drinks were delicious. Service was great as well. We also had a block of 18 rooms and had family in from across the country staying for the weekend! The property is gorgeous, rooms are comfortable and you can't beat the views. I highly recommend the Delamar for your wedding for their outstanding service, location and value.

We had a great wedding! The location is amazing for being by the water and sunset. The staff's attention to detail and kindness was appreciated throughout the whole weekend with our outdoor wedding.

Just book it!

We got married at the Delamar on August 12, 2023 and it was unbelieveable! If you're considering booking it, just do it- you will not be disappointed.
We got married on the ceremony lawn, dinner on the terrace, and then dancing/bar/etc... was in the Dayclub and it could not have been more perfect! We had a gorgeous day and it was the perfect mix of enjoying the bay but having a bit of indoor space. The day of translated even better than we pictured in any of our walk throughs. I had initial thoughts that the public terrace and beach might interrupt our ceremony/dinner but it did not at all! They did a perfect job of keeping everything private and separate- I didn't think twice about it day of.
The staff was a 12/10. Susan, Stephanie and Erikah were so easy and attentive to work with for the months leading up to the day. They were so communicative, so helpful and offered great ideas. The day of staff continued to be just as wonderful. They were all so accomodating, so fun and positive. My friend recently had a baby and one of the staff even helped her to put on her shoes just to be kind- definitely an extra mile that you don't see anywhere. They all helped to make the day great.
As for the food, it was amazing!!!! We got sooo many compliments from guests saying that not only was it the best wedding food that they had ever had, but an awesome meal in general. One of my friends was asking if Artisan served what we offered so she could go back and get it again. They were also so accomodating to those with food intolerances and allergies.
Truly, I could go on and on with how great the Delamar was. It was so convenient to have everything in one area and then also have the option for guests to stay at the hotel. (Which, the hotel rooms were lovely.) Of course, the downtown location makes for an easy walk into town for everyone to enjoy their weekend leading up to the day, too.
Side note: We booked the Nauti-Cat on Friday night as our rehearsal which docks at the Delamar- highly recommend that too! :)
All in all, just book the Delamar! It is the best and maybe most underated venue in all of TC. The best part of TC is the lake and no venue gets you closer.
