Delamar is the best venue for a wedding in Traverse City, Michigan hands down. Susan Scoby and her team (Kim, Erica, Kirstin, and everyone) will take care of every detail. From our first meeting, Susan was professional, and confident. It was clear she had a vision for our wedding, but also, she had plenty of room in her vision for our input as well. Throughout the year leading up to the wedding, I had many questions, and anxieties for the team at the Delamar. They never lost patience with me. They were very calm, professional, and responsive. If I had a question, they had an answer. They were excellent at meeting with us or taking a phone call and helping us figure out the smallest of details or the biggest worries. We all worked together tirelessly for over a year to put together a wedding that was right for us. On our special day, it all paid off. Everything was stunningly beautiful and perfectly executed. The food was bountiful, and delicious. The drinks were over the top scrumptious as well. I could not have asked for a more perfect night to celebrate our love. It was just amazing in every way. I have never been treated so well in my entire life, and I probably never will be again. Everything was perfect, and magical. I felt like I was a princess. It was just truly incredible. I can never thank them enough. If I could do it all over again, I would, and I would choose Delamar every time. Kim, Susan, and the entire Delamar team were so supportive of my winter wedding idea from the start! We had 37 people in the Daub in early February, and it was beautiful with the snow! We did our ceremony outside on their patio, and the Delamar team did an amazing job making sure our guests were warm and comfortable, and that we were well taken care of the entire night. They were also amazing to work with for planning. I feel like the Delamar team is significantly more hands on than most wedding venues we looked at-they were incredibly communicative, and made the experience as streamlined and as stress free as possible! We actually ended up doing our rehearsal dinner at the Delamar pool cabanas as well, and it was a blast! Truly a winter wonderland! I also have to give a shout out to the culinary team, because the staff food was AMAZING. Our guests were raving about it, and I actually ended up doing an unplanned outfit change part way though to be able to enjoy the food more thoroughly. I highly recommend choosing the Delamar to make your event seamless, beautiful, and a memorable experience for your guests.

We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding at the Delamar Hotel! My now husband and I originally spent part of our first date on the hotel's outdoor patio facing the bay. Once engaged we were estatic that the hotel was an option to host our wedding reception. From our initial inquiry, Susan, Kim, and Erikah were outstanding in helping to make our wedding the most perfect day. Every step of the way they were available and equally as excited and enthusiastic in coordinating every minute detail for our reception. I cannot thank them enough for making the process of planning a wedding that much easier for the incredible task that it is! Everything from our initial meetings, to our tasting, tours of the space, etc was met with the best communication, professionalism, and genuine kindness. We live locally, so it was truly a treat each time we met with them to discuss our reception, and are excited to continue our relationship with them post wedding! From the waterfront views, the outstanding catering via the Artisan Restaurant, and of course the amazing work and collaboration with the events team- the Delamar is truly a gem in TC and a perfect wedding venue. We highly recommend the Delamar hotel. Thank you so much to Susan, Kim, Erikah, and their entire team for giving us the greatest day that we will never forget!

BEST VENUE, FOOD & WEDDING EXPERIENCE! Our wedding was middle of June this year at the Delamar. We toured many venues in Northern Michigan and Southeast Michigan. From day one, the Delamar felt like the perfect place. It starts with Susan, who is the best. She is so friendly, accommodating, and kind. Susan, Kim, and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to make your wedding day special. Cannot recommend them enough. Having hotel rooms and the reception all in one place makes the day so smooth and easy for guests & the wedding party. The food & drinks were incredible, and we recieved so many compliments from our guests. On top of all this, you can’t beat a reception on the bay! Wouldn’t change a thing if we had to do it all over again. Thank you to the Delamar team for making our day so special!

Our September 2024 wedding ceremony and reception at the Delamar Hotel was fantastic! With a love of nature, we were impressed by the stunning views of Lake Michigan Bay and the indoor/outdoor options for our special day.

The staff at the Delamar ensured every detail was perfect. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made us and our guests feel special. Our outdoor ceremony by the lake was beautiful, and the reception in the ballroom was well-organized and clean. The event and banquet teams were very easy to work with. We live in the Metro Detroit area and Susan and her team were very accommodating to scheduling meetings when we visited the area.

After our menu tasting, we knew our guests would love the food, and the Delamar delivered perfectly. As foodies, this was important to us! As the bride, we had a getting ready suite that was perfect size for all of the bridesmaids, hair and makeup teams to get ready in.

We are incredibly grateful to the Delamar for making our wedding day unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue with stunning views, top-notch service, and a team that genuinely cares about your event, look no further than the Delamar. Our wedding at The Delamar was a dream. We planned our wedding in 5 months, on Labor Day weekend. We thought we were crazy. The Venue Coordinator, Susan, assured us that we weren't and that other couples were also looking at dates around the same time. Every question I had was answered throughout the whole process and came with suggestions as well. Working with Susan and Kim was great. So easy to talk to and throw ideas around, especially when you're a bride that does not have everything figured out. As a bride, I wanted our wedding to be stress free and for the most part, it was. A huge part of that goes out to the staff. Everyone from the front desk to the door man and the wait staff, they were all so accommodating and just grateful to be there. On our actual wedding day we were checked on multiple times, "do you need anything" or "can I get you anything". It felt great. One of the reasons we chose The Delamar was the FOOD, well and the view helps. The food is amazing!!!! Most times, wedding or catering food is just ok, but The Artisan, again amazing. Having your venue at a hotel was a big thing for us. You don't have to worry about transportation, if something happens or you forget something, all your things are right there. If we had to it all over again, we would. We threw a great party, thanks to The Delamar, Susan and Kim!

We had our wedding reception at the Delamar this past August and I could not recommend the venue enough. From the very beginning of the planning stages to our wedding day, Susan, Kim, Erikah and the entire Delamar team were so amazing and easy to work with. They were prompt in answering any email or concern, they were flexible in meeting with us when we were in town, helped with our room block changes, accommodated menu and tasting requests (not to mention the food was awesome!), and just overall went above and beyond to make our entire wedding weekend so special. Our guests loved staying at the Delamar and especially enjoyed the newly renovated patio and live music throughout the weekend. With the hotel being on the water and in close proximity to downtown Traverse City, you really can't beat the location. We will forever be grateful to Susan and team for helping make our wedding an amazing memory for both us and our guests!

I recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at The Delamar, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we began planning, their team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Kim and Susan are both amazing and so accommodating! The service was absolutely top-notch—attentive, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile.

The food? Phenomenal! The catering was exquisite, with a diverse selection of dishes that impressed every guest. Not only was the quality impeccable, but the presentation was beautiful too. The bartending staff was equally outstanding, keeping the drinks flowing with skill and charm.

If you’re looking for a venue with amazing food, exceptional service, and a staff that truly cares about making your event special, The Delamar is the place to be. I can't wait to host another event here!

We just celebrated my daughters wedding this past weekend and had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Delamar. From start to finish, Susan and team took away any concerns with planning from out of state. They were responsive and on top of all of our questions. We leveraged the Day Club and Lakeshore - food and drinks were delicious. Service was great as well. We also had a block of 18 rooms and had family in from across the country staying for the weekend! The property is gorgeous, rooms are comfortable and you can't beat the views. I highly recommend the Delamar for your wedding for their outstanding service, location and value.

We had a great wedding! The location is amazing for being by the water and sunset. The staff's attention to detail and kindness was appreciated throughout the whole weekend with our outdoor wedding.

We got married at the Delamar on August 12, 2023 and it was unbelieveable! If you're considering booking it, just do it- you will not be disappointed.
We got married on the ceremony lawn, dinner on the terrace, and then dancing/bar/etc... was in the Dayclub and it could not have been more perfect! We had a gorgeous day and it was the perfect mix of enjoying the bay but having a bit of indoor space. The day of translated even better than we pictured in any of our walk throughs. I had initial thoughts that the public terrace and beach might interrupt our ceremony/dinner but it did not at all! They did a perfect job of keeping everything private and separate- I didn't think twice about it day of.
The staff was a 12/10. Susan, Stephanie and Erikah were so easy and attentive to work with for the months leading up to the day. They were so communicative, so helpful and offered great ideas. The day of staff continued to be just as wonderful. They were all so accomodating, so fun and positive. My friend recently had a baby and one of the staff even helped her to put on her shoes just to be kind- definitely an extra mile that you don't see anywhere. They all helped to make the day great.
As for the food, it was amazing!!!! We got sooo many compliments from guests saying that not only was it the best wedding food that they had ever had, but an awesome meal in general. One of my friends was asking if Artisan served what we offered so she could go back and get it again. They were also so accomodating to those with food intolerances and allergies.
Truly, I could go on and on with how great the Delamar was. It was so convenient to have everything in one area and then also have the option for guests to stay at the hotel. (Which, the hotel rooms were lovely.) Of course, the downtown location makes for an easy walk into town for everyone to enjoy their weekend leading up to the day, too.
Side note: We booked the Nauti-Cat on Friday night as our rehearsal which docks at the Delamar- highly recommend that too! :)
All in all, just book the Delamar! It is the best and maybe most underated venue in all of TC. The best part of TC is the lake and no venue gets you closer.

My husband and I got married here on July 22, 2022. Let me start by saying that Delamar Traverse City was the best decision we could have made for our wedding weekend. Our families came from different states to spend the weekend together for our micro wedding. Leading up to the wedding, I kept in very close touch with Delamar and they were always so accommodating, flexible and supportive. On our wedding day, the team worked SO hard to ensure everything we wanted went as planned. Beacuse we did not have a wedding planner and I was my own wedding planner for the micro wedding, they really were there for us and supported us during the day when needed. They were so accommodating with shuttles and valet. We got married in the Day Club room with the view of the lake and our own patio. The food was like at a 5 Michelin star restaurant. The staff were so kind and dedicated. Cocktail hour on the patio was magical and the appetizers were to die for!!! I still think about the cucumber/salmon bites!!!! I can not describe how amazing it was and we already started planning our one year anniversary staying in this hotel and reliving these memories.

This hotel was amazing! The location was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious. The hotel worked well with my other vendors. Honestly, there were no issues the day of my wedding. I trusted the hotel from day 1 and they really followed through. Liz was so great to work with and she really did go above and beyond for me! And not only the wedding day, she also made our food tasting trip and my bachelorette party really special! We received several compliments from our guests on the hotel and especially the food. I would highly recommend weddings and events at this hotel!

We had our wedding here on the patio and it was the most incredible event from start to finish! We were so impressed with how the resort treated us every time we came to visit prior to the event as well; they will definitely make you feel special! I never felt stressed with planning because Liz and the team ensured everything was taken care of. You will not be disappointed using them, I promise!

I am so glad I chose the West Bay Beach to have my wedding. Liz went over and beyond for my day to be perfect. The view was beautiful, the food was amazing and so were the drinks. Everything went as expected for us and our day was amazing.

We used the West Bay for our September wedding and couldn't have had a better experience! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception all on site and our guests really loved it! Plus when the party was over their bed was just an elevator ride away! We also used the Torch Lake Room for the ladies to get ready in and had breakfast for the wedding party in the View. Servers were all polite and on top of anything you asked for! But I cannot speak highly enough of Liz, the wedding coordinator there...she really made our experience special and trust me when I say you are in good hands! From room moves to last minute ceremony location changes she has got you covered. Also, I appreciated her dedication to making my mom (who was experiencing some health issues at the time) feel right at home and as comfortable as possible. Thank you for everything West Bay team...you made our big day wonderful!

My daughter got married outside at West Bay Beach and the reception was in the Leelanau Room. We also had 3 other rooms: one for the bridal party to get ready, one for cocktails and appetizers, and one for the buffet and other displays.
We couldn't have asked for a better team to get us through the Friday rehearsal and the full day of activities on Saturday. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everyone "felt the love" from the employees. I HIGHLY recommend! VERY satisfied!

Liz and the staff were wonderful to work with. The space was perfect. Our event (Couples Wedding Shower) couldn’t have gone better. Excellent experience!

Working with Liz at West Bay Beach was amazing and made the process seamless. It was so nice to have a venue that provided set-up and take-down of chairs, tables, and linens. They also provided all the food and beverage service throughout the day and night. The staff was so polite and made our guests feel right at home. Our wedding on the lake could not have been more beautiful!!

Liz at West Bay Beach, a Holiday Inn Resort was the most amazing person to work with! She responded to mine and my families emails almost immediately and was so easy to work with! She was on site for the day of the the wedding, set up my place cards, lit the candles on our reception table, brought snacks for the very hangry wedding party, and even fixed my dress for me before walking down the aisle!

The staff at West Bay was also wonderful! They were so accommodating and helpful Any question I, or someone at the wedding, had someone either knew the answer or found out the answer so quickly! It was truly amazing! The banquet staff even wrote us a note at the end of the night telling us how much fun they had with us! I think someone even got my 87 year old grandma to get out on the dance floor! HAHA. The staff was so amazing.

I would recommend West Bay Beach for anyone having a wedding or a stay in Traverse City! The staff and venue was amazing. Best choice ever!

Everyone was so happy with the West Bay Beach facility and the service received. Not only were we thrilled with the wedding accommodation, but the resort made the entire weekend a joy to for everyone attending the wedding. Even those not choosing to stay at the Holiday Inn were treated as guest. Liz was an amazing help with all aspects of the weeding. She made sure everything ran smoothly. I am so thankful for the time she gave me (via phone calls) before the wedding. She was always available to answer all my question and often more than willing to help us fine the unique options that made the day perfect for the Bride and Groom. And the food was excellent! We held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner in the Torch room and booked several hotel rooms for the event of August 19th. I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. The room was set up perfectly, the buffet that we chose was excellent. The food was very good and presented well. The bar that was set up in the room worked out perfect. The bartender, I think her name was Diane, was delightful and so efficient and accommodating. She was a true professional as was everyone involved with the event. The service was very friendly and attentive. Sales Manager Liz Caluory was very professional and easy to work with. She assisted with decisions readily and was available whenever I called her or emailed. I would feel very comfortable working with her on any event in the future. I stay at this hotel often on business and as usual the hotel rooms were impeccably clean and of course the view was great. Overall, the way in which our event was hosted and handled exceeded my expectations and we are extremely satisfied.

From start to finish the Holiday Inn team did not disappoint.
All staff was friendly and remembered our guests by name.
The rooms were very nice and all had view of the bay.
The overall resort experience is one to remember.

This venue was just wonderful! We visited 3 other venues and this resort was not only the best value, but Liz Caluory, the wedding event coordinator was absolutely amazing. She was helpful, sweet and made things happen. A please to work with this hotel on the most stressful of days. The food and bartenders were outstanding! Great venue, and I highly recommend it!

Liz Caloury was a valuable resource during our son's wedding planning. She helped us secure a block of rooms, make suggestions for meet and greet and brunch accommodations and responded to my calls/ emails promptly. I never had to follow up on either of the event setups, they were handled without any hovering so I was able to enjoy myself. thank you for helping us pull off our wedding events without a hitch!

We could have not asked for a better experience than we had at West Bay Beach, from the hotel facilities, the staff and our sales manager, Liz. Everyone the whole time we were there bent over backwards for us and our guests. We were treated as royalty through the whole process. We highly recommend this venue and its staff for anyone's upcoming events.

My husband and I are so glad that we picked West Bay Beach Resort as the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception! The staff did a great job throughout the planning process and the day of the wedding. Liz did an amazing job of listening to what we wanted and coordinating everything. The banquet hall was just updated and looks really nice. The reception food was amazing. I had multiple guests tell me it was the best wedding food they ever had! Overall, we had a great experience with West Bay Beach Resort.

West Bay Beach, Holiday Inn Resort is an amazing place for weddings. Not only are the views beautiful, but the staff is fantastic!! Very knowledgeable, fast response and answers all questions and concerns you may have!!

The billing for our event plus specific requests we set aside were not met after Confirmation and booking. Plus our guests dealt with difficulties in billing as well. The service & professionalism from Liz was great throughout planning and the event. We were disappointed in the state of the hotel rooms and property from the time we signed our event contract which we addressed with staff. We were told room updates would be started by the time of our event occurred and were disappointed the process of remodel/updates had not even begun at the time of our event almost 11 months later.

The staff who worked at our reception were awesome and so helpful. This was perfect for our small wedding. The Torch Lake room was great for our small size! Great surrounding areas for pictures too!!! Food was great!!!

Overall our wedding was great! The banquet staff is excellent, and we couldn't be happier with their service. We had no issues with the venue or the staff at the venue, we did however have a couple of small issues with the hotel. First off out of our guests who were staying at the hotel, we were the very last to get a room. Check in was at 4pm and we did not get a room until almost 5. Then at check out, we asked the person at the front desk for an itemized receipt for the bar (wedding reception) and instead of doing this, he simply charged my card and handed me my receipt. That was pretty upsetting considering the bill was a few thousand dollars, and he did exactly the opposite of what I asked. But all in all it was a great event and I recommend this venue for anyone looking!
