David is an outstanding photographer!-- I don't use that word lightly. I'll begin by saying he agreed to shoot our wedding on his birthday, and drove 50+ miles to our private location in bad weather. Prior to the wedding day, David was very communicative and continued to do so until we got our photos. On the day of our wedding, he showed up and instantly became a hit at our wedding with our guests with his cheery demeanor, and professionalism. He was integral to capturing the emotion and joy of our wedding, and I look forward to using him in the future.

Beautiful photos were one of the top priorities for our wedding, and I am so thankful we picked David to be our photographer! Our wedding photos are gorgeous and I’m in awe every time I look through them (which is probably too often).

David was super easy going, and so much fun to work with! Like many others this year, our wedding was surrounded with difficult circumstances. There are photographers and then there are PHOTOGRAPHERS and David C Allen photography is the latter. What’s the difference? I would never consider having a wedding again (well, hopefully I won’t need to) but if I knew David was going to photograph it, I’d go through the whole tedious process that is wedding planning just for more David photos.
When I was in Austin a year and a half ago I had some sunset engagement pictures taken by David and they were amazing and I knew I wanted to have him take my wedding photos as well. Luckily, David travels! He flew out to Virginia for our wedding for an incredibly fair price and was covid compliant the entire time for the wedding.
But my favorite part about David is his ability to work with couples. Both my husband and I are people who don’t like pictures taken of ourselves but we both value having good photographs to look back on. Quite the conundrum. But David’s easy-going, fun personality put us both at ease immediately. He knows how to guide and direct couples in order to get the best pictures, knows great poses, knows how to chase the light… literally. My wedding day had exactly 90 seconds of sunshine. David was watching the sky and was able to pull us for a quick shot at the exact moment. His editing is also spot-on. I can’t wait to buy every single form of canvas, photo book, etc that exists for these photos. Highly highly recommend booking David for your photography needs.
