I am a versatile photographer. While we hope for the best weather possible, I am not scared of shooting in rain, wind or bright sun. I started my business craving to learn everything about lighting. How it moved, changed color and how the sun impacted that. I shoot both natural and off camera lighting on wedding days as they both have important roles through an afternoon as the sun changes. I choose gear that can withstand the elements so if it does happen to rain, we are going to have fun and I won't be stressing about wet gear and focused on creating a fun experience for you.

When you hire Dana Marie Photography, I personally photograph your big day.I do bring an assistant who will second shoot during the ceremony (usually my husband) so you get two photographers for your ceremony and there are add on options if you want a true second shooter from start to finish but in most cases I find it is not needed and we are shooting over each other or in each other's backgrounds after the ceremony.

I've been a professional photographer for 14 years and a hobbyist another 12 years before that. I am a full time photographer with a studio in the Ocean City area. While I shoot digital, I learned on film and was the kid in high school playing in the darkroom in all my spare time. Film add on options are available if that is something that interests you.

When looking at photographers, find someone you connect with and generally like to talk to whether it is me or someone else. They are going to play an important part of your day and help to keep things flowing easily. We see more than any other wedding vendor of what goes on start to finish for your day, we are looking out for you in more ways than just behind the camera. I have a very calming presence and I don't panic easily, I like to document things as they are happening without too much interference but will absolutely guide you to the best lighting and can pose head to toe when it's needed during portraits. My goal is capturing authentic emotions throughout the day.
