Lighting is my passion and signature skill - whether it is using natural light to highlight intimate moments or enhancing the area with carefully crafted light to bring out it's full beauty, I enjoy working with the light available to create stunning images for you. I believe that great lighting is a large part of the photography process, and I use it to help tell your wedding story.
On your wedding day, I work alongside a second photographer during the ceremony to ensure no moment is missed. This is usually my husband and he is amazing sculpting light for me. My approach to photographing weddings is to be both unobtrusive and intentional, to capture genuine moments while offering guidance when it matters most - such as during portraits.

Easy Choice
Dana was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From our first conversation over the phone I knew I wanted her to be my photographer for mine and my husband’s wedding day. She was clear and confident about her strengths in being a photographer and managing the complexity of large families, how she can get those pictures done quickly, and she definitely delivered on our wedding day. She was also very flexible with the weather for both our engagement session (which we had to change the date of, but it definitely worked out for the better), as well as on our wedding day. She and her team are kind, funny, encouraging, and exceptionally talented. Best decision I could have made!

Best Wedding Photographer!
We hired Dana for our wedding in late October and could not be more happy! She was the epitome of professionalism from beginning to end.
She was the perfect balance of directing during the portrait sessions and being non obtrusive and getting candid shots (looking through our gallery there are pictures that I didn't even know she was there for). She helped to keep everything running on time and was amazing at corralling our families during those photos.
From the moment we saw the social media posts the next day we new knew all of the pictures were going to be amazing. Every single picture is amazing, we are just totally blown away. We received our highlights right before Thanksgiving and were able to show those off at family gatherings and everyone is just floored with how beautiful the pictures are. We weren't expecting the rest of our pictures until the New Year as it's getting close to the holidays, so it was a pleasant surprise to get an email from Dana about two weeks early with the rest of pictures.
We cannot recommend her services enough! We are already trying to think of an excuse to have pictures taken by her again; we will definitely be repeat customers!

The Perfect Local Photographer for Our Destination Vow Renewal

She even recommended an officiant and helped us choose the ideal time of day for the best light.

Dana is the best!
My whole experience with Dana has been amazing. We had our engagement pictures done with her before our wedding, and also pictures day of our wedding. She is professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. We had multiple emails and calls to check in through out the process to make sure I was getting all the shots I wanted. Day of my wedding she had everything laid out and made family photos a breeze, and during the reception I feel like she captured every moment without any of us even realizing she was there. I would hands down recommend her to anyone getting married and can’t wait to schedule family photos in the future with her.

Fun, Professional, and So Talented – Thank You, Dana!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Dana Marie and her husband for our June wedding in Ocean City, MD, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! From our beach ceremony to our fun reception at Hooper’s Crab House, Dana captured every moment perfectly.
She was incredibly personable and fun to work with—she instantly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and gave us just the right amount of direction to make our photos look natural and effortless. Posing never felt awkward or forced, and she helped us enjoy the moment while still getting amazing shots.
Dana was especially great with the flower girls, making them smile and laugh, and keeping them engaged throughout the day. It was clear she has a genuine love for what she does and a real talent for working with people of all ages.

The Wedding Photographer of our Dreams!
Working with Dana and her husband, Joe, for our wedding day was definitely the best decision we could have made!
We booked Dana Marie Photography for our July 2024 wedding at the Golden Sands in Ocean City Maryland. My husband and I are from the Scranton, PA area, so we did not know much about vendors in the Maryland area. We had our initial meeting with her by phone and we knew right away she was going to be the perfect fit. Dana took the time to give me advice on other vendors in the area and I was so thankful for that.
Although we did not get to meet Dana in person until the day of the wedding, she was so responsive to my emails prior to and after the wedding. She also put together a timeline for us for the day of the wedding, which was so helpful as I did not have a wedding planner.
Dana took the time to learn the names and relationships of each one of our 24 person bridal party. She also did a great job of keeping everyone in line and making the portrait portion of the wedding run so seamlessly. She also made sure we were able to attend our cocktail hour, while still capturing every photo we asked for.
It rained for the majority of our wedding day, which is not ideal for a beach wedding. From the second Dana got there she reported the weather to me. While our first look and most of the group bridal party photos needed to take place inside, we had a 45 minute window for our ceremony and portraits on the beach. I am not sure how she managed to capture so many great photos with such undesirable conditions.
One thing that was really important to us was having a photographer who knew how to work with the lighting from the sun at the beach and Dana was a perfect match. Our photos were sent back to us so quickly and they were everything we could have asked for and more.
We could not recommend Dana more and we cannot wait to work with her again in the future for family portraits.

SO impressed with Dana Marie Photography!
We booked Dana Marie Photography for our October 2023 wedding at the Ocean Pines Yacht Club. We had our initial meeting with her about a year before our wedding date and we knew right off the bat that she was the photographer for us. It was an added bonus that our engagement photo session was included in our package!
We were so impressed by not only the quality of her work, but the promptness of her response to emails and getting our hundreds of photos back to us. We don’t know how she has time for it all!
Dana helped us arrange a timeline for our wedding day; everything from getting ready, our first look, to sunset photos, not a detail was missed. She and her husband Joe were amazing to work with and we hope to work with them again in the future!
