Dan Simonds Photography

Thank you very much for your interest in Dan Simonds Photography! As you may have guessed my name is Dan, and I shoot weddings together with my wife Tara, who is herself an accomplished photographer. Let me start by saying that for me photography is a love, a passion and a creative outlet, not a job. Thus, I do not do photography 'for a living.' Because I don't rely on photograhy as a primary income, I take on no more than 5 weddings per season - however the limited number allows me to devote an exceptional amount of time and attention to my work. As I also am not in need of additional leads I do not request reviews (I find it tacky) which is part of the reason I have so few reviews. Nevertheless, I have now shot more than 20 weddings. My ideal client is a couple who are laid back and easy to work with - I keep my prices reasonable because I don't really want to be involved in any extravagent, highly choreographed events. In addition to weddings I shoot engagments, family photos and portraits, as well as fine art, travel and aerial drone photography. In fact, my wife Tara and I have shot images in more than 35 countries in 6 continents around the world. I believe that our background and experiences allow us to bring a unique and creative element which you can see reflected in our work. Though ultimately, there is no right or wrong when it comes to art and I like to let my work speak for itself.
