About

Choosing the right music and musician for your special day can be a daunting task. Simple and elegant, the classical guitar will bring life and beauty to your wedding and I can guarantee you will be more than satisfied with my performance. From our first phone conversations, to following up after the big day, I promise to respond quickly, and accommodate your needs effectively. Not only will you hear some great music, but you will also be treated to a wonderful customer service experience. I am in the service industry and when you book me for your wedding, I am at your service!

All too often, amateurism is glorified on reality TV, in movies, and in our culture. But let me be the one to say that when you are planning your wedding and your musician has only one chance to make or break one of the most special moments of your life, you want a professional. You want someone who has been educated at the finest music schools our Nation has to offer and who has studied under some of the greatest musicians of our time. With a Master of Music in Guitar Performance from New England Conservatory (with Honors) and Doctoral work in classical guitar at Texas' very own UNT, I can say with certainty that my credentials will not be matched. I can also say that you will not be disappointed with the beautiful music I can provide. I have dedicated my life to my instrument, and I promise to bring that dedication to your wedding!

I believe that playing the guitar is not about pressing fingers on frets and plucking strings. In the right hands, the guitar is an incredibly beautiful, graceful, passionate instrument capable of expressing a range of sounds and emotions to which many other instruments can't come close. As Eliot always says, it's about "the transformative power of music." That's why you're here; because you want me to "transform" the atmosphere of your next event through my music.

Excellent Choice for Wedding Guitarist

Just have to leave a review for Dan Kyzer because he deserves to be recognized. He did an amazing job playing at our wedding. He was so easy to work with and plays so beautifully. I think he must be able to play anything you want from classical, contemporary, etc. There are plenty of things to stress out about for wedding day, but Dan made the music portion super easy. He gave us the opportunity to choose the songs and can also make recommendations for you if you need them. Check out his website for samples of his music. We mainly communicated via email. He showed up on time and played while people were being seated and then during the ceremony. He is a pro at knowing when to start and stop without it being awkward. I was able to just venmo him to pay. Easy peasy. If you are considering just having one musician for your event, Dan is your guy!

Beautiful and professional

Dan played guitar for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and it was just beautiful! He was so easy to work with and he even learned a few songs for our processional that we wanted to walk down the aisle to. Dan is so nice and plays guitar beautifully. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a guitarist for their event!

Wonderful experience!

Dan played at my wedding ceremony in October 2020 and did an outstanding job! I found out about him as he played at one of my friend's weddings. Dan is very talented and great to work with!

Trustworthy and beautiful

Dan's music set the mood for our intimate chapel ceremony. I planned the wedding & working with Dan was the easiest part. He is so easy to trust & work with and is a true professional. Very reasonable pricing - his gift is definitely worth more than you'll pay & competitors quoted higher. BEAUTIFUL work - go listen to some of his music and you will be ready to book. Even better in person.

Dan was absolutely wonderful for my November 2016 wedding. He quickly responded to all emails and phone calls, was happy to play the music we wanted, and even helped us out when we were in a tight spot with renting audio equipment. I had numerous guests come up to me the next day at breakfast to comment on how beautiful the ceremony music was. I can honestly say that hiring Dan helped to RELIEVE some of the stress of wedding planning.

Dan Kyzer and a partner of his, Grace, played and sang at my wedding during the ceremony and during cocktail hour after the ceremony. Dan was wonderful to work with!

My fiancé (now husband) and I didn't have a lot of ideas about the types of songs that we wanted played during the ceremony. We kept flip-flopping back and forth between contemporary and hymns. We were worried that a mix of the two genres would end up sounding odd because of the difference in language in hymns vs. contemporary songs. Dan gave us great advice and suggestions for song selections!

For the wedding we chose "All Creatures of Our God and King" and "Come Thou Fount" with Grace singing. For the Bridal entrance we selected "In My Life" by The Beatles (instrumental version) and for the recession we chose "When I'm 64". Everything sounded so lovely! Guests complimented the ceremony music!

Dan and Grace also stuck around for a few minutes after the ceremony while we were taking pictures to play a few extra songs during cocktail hour. I really enjoyed hearing some of our favorite songs and singing along the minutes following the wedding.

I would definitely recommend Dan!

Dan was great. The music was romantic, and crisp. I didn't hear him make one mistake. He responded to e-mails and calls almost immediately and any song I requested he said he could do it. I was really pleased with his professionalism and his ability to be flexible with me changing the songs that I wanted (I did this quite a lot!). He played both classical pieces like Canon in D as well as modern songs like "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. He added depth and intimacy to the ceremony and cocktail hour and did a great job adding or removing chords in a song based on the how the timing of the ceremony was going. Classical guitar is beautiful and feels so organic compared to recorded music. I think if you are having a rustic, outdoor, country, or shabby chic wedding you should definitely do classical guitar and Dan Kyzer is the best guy to go to!

On short notice, my fiance and I were in need of a classical guitarist for our ceremony in Southeast Oklahoma. If I had been given two years to find the perfect guitarist I could not have made a better choice than Mr. Dan Kyzer! From his timely response to my request, all the way through his beautiful, beautiful music during the ceremony and dinner, Mr. Kyzer was an absolute professional. His magnificent skill level and love of the guitar was evident to all of our guests. Some felt as if they were being personally serenaded during their meal. Although Mr. Kyzer had less than 10 days of notice, by evening's end he had gone from performer to friend.
