Facilities and Capacity
For a wedding celebration held in the Village, you can select from a variety of original vintage spaces. These flexible areas singly and in combination can host gatherings from fewer than ten people through to over a thousand. For example, your wedding ceremony can be held in the Pilot Grove Church, an airy building dating to 1895 that can host up to 120 guests. Other indoor venues suitable for ceremonies or receptions include the Alamo Saloon for a few people, Browder Springs Hall which can hold up to 90 guests, and the Chautauqua Pavilion which can hold up to 250 guests. Should you desire an outdoor wedding, you can enjoy the Van Cleave Bandstand, the Fountain, the Millermore Front Lawn, and the Village Green. You can utilize the street, complete with Alamo Saloon and Browder Springs Hall, with the “Main Street” package. You can even book all of the event spaces with the “All Museum” package. Since bookings are made on a one-event-per-day policy, you can often change your event spaces to best make use of your wedding day weather.
Wedding events that can be hosted at Dallas Heritage Village include your engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, elopements, ceremonies, and receptions. A bridal suite is available within Brent Place for you to prepare and refresh yourself on your special day. The staff can advise you about the vendors on their approved list which have previously provided catering and bartending services for events at the Village. With so many spaces available for your ceremony and reception, you will be able to have the vintage-style environs that you wish for your special day. The peak season stretches from March through November so your date will also be flexible.

We used the bandstand area for our ceremony and the pavilion for our reception. I loved working with Michelle. She answered all of our questions and put us at ease whenever we had concerns. The staff assisted us throughout our wedding day and made it a pleasant experience for our guests. We also took advantage of the historical buildings and used them as unique backgrounds for our pictures.Sent on 09/19/2012

My husband and I had our wedding at Dallas Heritage Village on Oct 8th, 2011. I visited several times with my family when my brothers and I were children. We knew it as Old City Park then. This live museum is perfect for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and you get a great view of downtown Dallas. I was surprised at how many of our 200 guests did not know about this hidden treasure. We received numerous compliments regarding our decision to have our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. We had various out of town guests including several people in from Europe, everyone loved Old City Park! The sales director, Michelle Davis, is a gem. She was accommodating, friendly, and professional every step of the way. Weddings can be incredibly stressful so it was nice to work with someone as genuine as Michelle. I highly recommend this as a wedding venue to anyone looking to have a unique experience. We used Glory House Catering who is on the Dallas Heritage Village preferred vendor list. They were excellent!Sent on 11/05/2011

The Dallas Heritage Village was the perfect place for our wedding. We loved all of the history and so did our guests. We were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in the park, but each at different buildings within the park to make things easier for our guests. They even had a carriage available that my husband and I were able to ride away on after the ceremony. Then it was available for our guests to tour the grounds before the reception. They were generally easy to work with except their event coordinator only works part time, so sometimes it took a couple of days to respond to emails. Overall, I highly recommend this venue.Sent on 06/09/2014
