She assisted with helping us narrow down our wedding destination location to Dominican Republic, to assisting with planning & coordinating for all of our guests from all over, to being a liaison with the resort and wedding venue, to assisting with our honeymoon on a seperate trip. When looking for a travel agent, I searched for one in the DFW area in Texas, as that is where my husband and I live. I searched and found Custom Escapes Travel, called and spoke with Amanda whom made me feel at ease with the anxiety I was feeling with planning a wedding in Mexico. My husband and I would like to recommend the services of Amanda Ricks with Custom Escapes Travel. She was an absolute asset to planning and coordinating our destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She not only coordinated travel for all of our guests (resort accommodations, along with flights), but also served as our wedding planner, and acted as a liaison between us and the hotel coordinator. She did an absolutely fabulous job in juggling a fairly large destination wedding. We could not have done it without her! She even made a trip to Mexico several months prior to our wedding and stopped by our resort to meet with the hotel coordinator in person; and she then reported suggestions back to us based on what she saw at the resort. I was hesitant to contact a travel agent I'd found online, but everything turned out absolutely perfect thanks to Amanda! She was very easy to work with and knowledgeable about resort amenities. She mailed out useful information a few weeks prior to our trip, which was extremely helpful. My husband and I stayed at the Secrets Capri in Riviera Maya, and we loved everything from the hotel room to the delicious food. Amanda w/ Custom Escapes put together our Australian honeymoon, down to the smallest of details and all within our budget.
