Based out of Los Angeles, California, Crown Players is a trio of string players who play for weddings and big events. The team consists of two violins and a cello, played by Mari Haig, Norm Hughes, and Greg Adamson. They pride themselves on working cooperatively with couples to help create the perfect atmosphere. With a broad music repertoire and great attention to detail, the trio has the skills and expertise to elevate all kinds of events.

MARI HAIG, violin, served as concertmaster in tribute concerts for the Double Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla, for Queen Elizabeth’s 60th Diamond Jubilee, and for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton. In the U.S., Mari is assistant concertmaster of the St. John Chamber Orchestra. Mari has played in the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay, the Los Angeles Baroque and the Disneyland Candlelight Orchestras, Musica Angelica, Long Beach, Riverside, Pacific, Pasadena, Desert, San Diego Symphonies, and Burbank Philharmonic.
Mari has performed with a broad range of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, Henry Mancini, Buddy Rich, Dionne Warwick, Johnny Mathis, Mannheim Steamroller and for Carla Morrison at the Hollywood Bowl. Mari is the concertmaster and arranger/orchestrator for singer, Mario Bryant.
Mari is featured on countless CD projects, including “Echoes of Vilna,” which is in the Library of Congress. Mari’s improvisation on violin, viola, and cello, can be heard on Emmy Award winning soundtracks for television shows, including “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Mari is also an educator.
NORM HUGHES, violin, is a founding member of the Pacific Symphony, concertmaster of the St. John Chamber Orchestra, and solo violinist for Christ Cathedral. He performed in tribute concerts for the Double Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla in London. He has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay, Opera Pacific, Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters, Disneyland Candlelight and Hollywood Bowl Orchestras, Pasadena, Long Beach, and Desert Symphonies. Norm performed in the West Coast premiere of the musical “Beauty and the Beast,” as well as Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Sunset Boulevard.” Norm served as concertmaster and soloist on the Grammy Winning CD of Jose Feliciano, “Americano.”
Norm has been featured on countless movie soundtracks, such as Zootopia, Inside Out, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Work, Mission Impossible, Independence Day, Wall-e, Santa Claus 2, Bad Santa, and The Bourne Identity.
He has recorded with Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, Michael Bublé, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Willie Nelson, Brian Wilson, Elvis Costello, Burt Bacharach, Neil Diamond, Carla Morrison and Barry White, touring in his Love Unlimited Orchestra. Norm is also an educator and conductor.
