Claire in group sales was my savior during the largest snafu of my entire wedding planning process. After a debacle with our room block at Fairfield Inn, Claire swooped in to save the day.

She helped us secure a large, complimentary room block at an extremely competitive rate for our New Years Eve wedding (besting the rate and quantity originally given to us by the Fairfield Inn). She went through the laborious process of manually adding the numerous guests that were originally booked, then canceled at the Fairfield, to the Courtyard. She also fielded tons of calls after we had each guest call her to add their CC to the reservation. All of our guests that stayed at the Courtyard loved the fact that the hotel was not only 3/4 of a block to our wedding venue (Chez), but it was just a block to Michigan Avenue and all the shopping and restaurants the area has to offer. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel staff was attentive and kind. We originally booked the Fairfield because it was 1/2 of a block closer to our wedding venue than the Courtyard, and we learned a tough lesson in doing that. More important than the location is the type of people that you're going to have to deal with throughout the process. Claire's conscientiousness and customer service orientation turned a terrible situation into a wonderful one. I would highly recommend her for any room block or group needs and the hotel for a solid Marriott experience and part of a wonderful trip to Chicago.

The Courtyard Magnificent Mile was the perfect place to hold our wedding reception and ceremony. We had our ceremony in one section of their ballroom. Once the ceremony was concluded, cocktails and appetizers in the foyer of the ballroom which was perfect. Meanwhile the ballroom was re-set for the reception. Once the doors opened...WOW! What a transformation the staff was able to do. From the back lighting, candle centerpieces, and black pipe & drape, who would have thought that they use this same space for business meetings? The food catered from Viand was phenominal. We had three carving stations of turkey beef, and salmon. I heard nothing but rave reviews about the food quality.

This is a perfect venu for smaller weddings. (We had 65, but my guess is we could have doubled it and been ok!) Kuddos to the event and banquet team! You created a memory we will never forget!
