Picking a wedding photographer honestly felt like the highest stakes vendor choice we would make for our wedding day. I mean, after all is said and done, the food is gone, the venue is locked up, and everyone has gone home...but the photographs...well those will be joyously displayed for decades to come. We wanted someone who would capture our emotions on the day; the little moments in-between we might otherwise have missed or someday forgotten; and do justice to the big moments too. It was a lot to hope for in one photographer but Cindy, was everything we wanted and more.

We had talked to other photographers who said they were "documentary photographers" but their portfolios could not compare to Cindy's. Each photo in her portfolio made me feel like I was present at each wedding displayed; they were authentic and real but still professional and jaw-droppingly gorgeous. We were ecstatic to work with Cindy just from our conversations (she so kind, personable, genuine, and attentive) but now that she has photographed our wedding and we've seen the photos....my goodness, we thought it was possible we had set our expectations too high but she not only delivered, she BLEW US AWAY.

Not only are the photographs stunning (and seriously, that does not do them justice), but they are also just soo real.

We were just blown away with how much FEELING and authenticity Cindy was able to capture. And our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. No moment or picture was manufactured. Rather than a performance or an endless parade of different poses, artificial smiles, or planned shots, our wedding was truly just a beautiful day where we got to share our love with those closest to us. It was sincere and we were able to enjoy every moment because we knew that Cindy would be right at hand catching even the smallest moments and details we would want to remember in the decades to come.

My fiance spent weeks coordinating with Cindy to get the perfect surprise engagement pictures. She was extremely patient and flexible with him when it came to the planning process. They had me completely surprised and she captured the moment so perfectly. She was just as thrilled as we were and encouraged us to be in the moment. I knew that Cindy was the wedding photographer for us when she did our engagement pictures. We won a free engagement shoot, and we took our pictures at this nice lake, and we brought along our dog! My husband (then fiance) and I love just being goofy, silly, and crack jokes with each other, and she captured everything! We had a mixed of posed photos, but what really stood out was our candid photos of my husband and I just having fun and enjoying each other's company outside with our dog.

We had to change our wedding plans from a wedding and reception at a history center to an intimate wedding in our backyard, and the photos were everything I'd hope for! I found the photographer search to be one of the most stressful. Deep into online searches for a photographer with expertise in photojournalism rather than the canned-feeling photos of dress, shoes, and prom poses, I saw Cindy's award winning WPJA photos and immediately reached out. She did great work for us: planning calls, free engagement session on a cold day, calm demeanor and constantly snapping photos on our wedding day, and a sweet viewing session for my family once she had drafted an album. Most importantly to me, she and her second shooter were able to capture beautiful photos at our religious ceremony while fading into the background themselves. We had a couple of logistical hiccups along the way and I could have given her more time to arrange and take the large group shots, but overall: beautiful, artistic, authentic photos from our day and a great person to work with.

She is just so great. Cindy is flexible and kind and considerate. She has been more like friend than just photographer to us and wedding pictures seem really natural and genuine. Whenever I look through photos I feel like I am in that moment again. Thanks!!!

My husband and I wanted REAL photos of our wedding day. We didn't want to miss a moment of our wedding posing. We were having an eclectic wedding in the mountains with karaoke too and knew we wanted good shots of our guests being silly. After we met Cindy and Sharon we felt so at ease. They are incredibly easy to talk to and have a great sense of humor!
They immediately "got" who we are, which I think is why they have such a gift with wedding photojournalism. On our special day they were at our venue on time (it was a hard place to find) and right away were capturing all the details! David and I were busy getting ready and making sure everything was in place. We never had to oversee them and they just did their thing. They were so friendly and warm and funny all my guests said we had the best photographers!
After we saw the photos, we were blown away! They perfectly captured us, our guests and the moments that made our wedding special. The photos were so clear and well lit yet everyone looked flawless! Cindy was very easy to work with and timely in all communication too. We couldn't be happier!

Photography is of the utmost importance, people! It's the only way to really see what happened on what can be a very hazy day. Our nuptials were the most wonderful day, but a total blur! Cindy and Sharon helped us piece it all together providing everything I asked for - down to the exact shots.

They are creative. I don't have a lot of experience with wedding photography but I was impressed with a few small details Cindy introduced to Tim and I. For example, for our engagement photos, Cindy took some landscape shots to set the tone. Loved this! It's all about the details for me. The light, the setting, etc.. She got me! Cindy also really recommended that we do a 'premiere party' to bring together friends and family to review the photos and enjoy memories. So glad we did this. Lots of laughter and tears as we relived the day.

There are really no words to describe what Cindy & her team are able to capture through their lenses. I didn't think I would be one of those brides that got lost in the day, I'm always the hostess making sure everyone else's needs are met & everyone is having a good time. I'm so happy with my decision to hire Cindy to photograph my wedding for primarily two reasons. First, her pictures are absolutely spectacular. She has a talent and keen eye for anticipating and capturing genuine emotions and moments throughout the day that would otherwise be forgotten. There are so many pictures I had no idea she was even taking, capturing some truly special moments. Second, and just as important, Cindy is great to work with (my bridesmaids also commented to me on this). She gives direction very well as needed for posed photos and fades into the background to capture great candid photos. Her professionalism was even more evident when I found out the next month that she had a shoulder injury on the day of my wedding!
