My husband Will and I got married in October and we planned everything together. Hands down, the easiest and best decision we made (besides going through with the marriage ;-)) was picking Chris as our photographer. He was so easy to work with from the get go. We set up a brief meeting, shared our vision (we wanted a "photojournalist approach"), and mapped out a schedule of events. Anything that we did not think to ask, he made sure to bring up and help make our vision more complete. Chris was excellent at capturing all of the tiny moments of the night without being in anyones way. The pictures that he captured were absolutely STUNNING--the perfect amount of sentimental moments captured in beautiful lighting and silly off the cuff moments that captured the essence of each and every guest. We would work again with Chris in a heartbeat and friends have already requested his contact information for their ceremony. As an added bonus, because we did not end up using Chris for all of the allotted time, he offered to do a separate photoshoot whenever we would like. It's those little attention to details and customer service which make Chris stand out from the rest. Overall, Chris was kind, professional, quick to edit and publish photos, and an amazing photographer. You would not do wrong by hiring him!

Chris did a fantastic job photographing our wedding in Prince George's County, MD, in September 2017. When we found Chris online his photos stood out for how consistently they captured honest emotions. Chris shared some of his full wedding portfolios with us early on, and they made clear that his ability to capture true, beautiful emotions is not just luck: he didn't just snap tons of photos to get a couple of lucky great ones - he captures honest and moving emotional moments in nearly every picture, from prep time through the ceremony and reception. Plus, his rates were much more reasonable than many of the photographers who have more prominent presences in the DC wedding industry right now, so we could actually afford him.

Aside from his beautiful photography, Chris was also lovely and easy to work with. He responded very quickly to every email I sent. We didn't do an engagement shoot, so he was willing to meet us for coffee so we could get to know each other a bit before he shot our wedding. He arrived right on time the day of our wedding and was cheerful, professional, and efficient the whole day.

My wife and I are both women, and although I generally assume in the DC area that people won't be thrown by a queer couple, I was slightly nervous about hiring folks to participate in a moment as important and vulnerable as our wedding. But we felt entirely comfortable with Chris from the get-go. He had already photographed a number of queer weddings that we could see on his website, and all of our interactions with him both before and on the wedding day were easy and comfortable.

Chris got us our final portfolio about a month after the wedding, and we were thrilled to see that he'd captured all the honest emotions we felt that day, just as he had in all the portfolios we'd viewed when we first found him online.

All-around, Chris did a beautiful job. I can't recommend him highly enough.
