Chef Robert did a great job catering to all of our needs during the planning process! We had a breakfast themed reception and the food delicious and beautifully presented. Because we were staying at the ranch houses at the Willowood venue, he catered our dinner for Thanksgiving and the rehearsal (BBQ). All of it was delivered on time and was so good! I would highly recommend him as a caterer and his restaurant in Sherman, TX.

WE HAD THE BEST MEAL! We had the slow roasted beef tenderloin with Swiss cheese mashed potatoes and roasted veggies... Salads, rolls, water, tea, and coffee were included! They served our plated salads, plated main course, filled and re-filled our drinks, cleaned up as people were done, cut and served our cake, provided a bartender and a security guard, and packed up the extra food for us to take home all for roughly $45 a plate!!!! Above that, the staff helped us set our tables up the night before and take our stuff down after the party! I cant say enough good things here! Go visit his restaurant in Downtown Sherman, tx!!! Sage Cafe... you may fall in love like we did!

We're from San Antonio and looked for unique venues for months, from museums and mansions to ranches, but these places had strict requirements to hire all vendors from their preferred list. With preferred vendors, we felt the wedding would be just like any other wedding at that venue. It may be beautiful, but not our own. Out of sheer frustration I looked at smaller towns, hoping to find a place that hadn't been ruined by the "wedding industry machine." I found it! It was literally like finding a gem. My daughter got married at Willowood Ranch on March 11, 2017. The only requirement was to have the reception catered by Chef Aranson. But, this was the most wedding friendly "restriction" on the planet! Chef Aranson has a very long history and experience as a caterer and restaurateur. He has catered countless corporate events and weddings, and owns one of the most popular restaurants in town. So, his cuisine has been tried, tasted and proven. And, to make things even better, Chef Aranson is so easy to work with. The first person I ever talked to was Marcy Aranson. She is married to Chef Aranson. She is the most down to earth person I have ever met. She wasn't snooty and didn't talk down to me. From the moment I spoke to her, she was eager to please ME (not the venue). After so many weddings and events, she wasn't jaded in any way and focused on me throughout months and months of planning. Every question got an immediate response, and although they had wedding packages, they stepped outside the box and create any menu I wanted. Our guests were absolutely floored. They didn't just say it was the best food they had at a "wedding", but the best food they ever had period. We had buffet style and everything came out hot and absolutely gorgeous. Portions were huge and the servers were attentive. It looked like a classy banquet from The Great Gatsby, but the prices were so reasonable!! I highly recommend Chef Aranson and I look forward to using him again for future events!!

Chef Robert catered our wedding at Willowood Ranch and I couldn't be more pleased with him! We had a buffet that consisted of chicken and beef fajitas, southwest salad, a nacho bar, beans and rice, and all the toppings you could imagine. I've lost count of how many people have told us how delicious everything was and that they loved the idea of being able to "build" their own fajitas and nachos! Personally, I think they were some of the BEST fajitas I've ever ate! Chef Robert and his staff were so easy to work with, polite, and professional and I would definitely recommend him to cater any event! Thank you for helping make our day so perfect!!!

Chef Robert is always my choice for any special event! I never even considered anyone else for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding reception. He customized a "bacon bar" for the cocktail hour that was a huge hit. The prime rib and blackened shrimp dinner was outstanding- I'm still receiving compliments on the meal. All of the sides were perfect, as well. He and his staff provided top notch service to all of our guests. He is always a pleasure to work with and provides the hands down best food and service for his clients.

WOW!!! Chef Robert was GREAT!! He was so accommodating even when we were adding things the week of the wedding. His hot chocolate bar was a huge hit since the weather turned nasty just a few days before the wedding. He was flexible with our menu and even made a special request that was a huge hit! Lots of complements on the food and his staff was outstanding. Always smiling, helping, and eager to ensure we were all having a great time. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR NIGHT SO SPECIAL!!!

Professional, personable, accommodating are a few ways I would describe Chef Robert and his staff! Our daughters wedding reception was everything she had hoped for, and as the MOB, I could not have been more thrilled. The food was spectacular with generous portions. We received many, many compliments. His staff was great and made everything flow perfectly. Chef Robert was wonderful and patient in the planning stages and his advice and recommendations were perfect. No parent wants to have to worry that even the tiniest detail will not be handled....everything exceeded our expectations and we were able to enjoy the night and not worry about a single thing. We were all so happy with our choices! I highly and without reservation recommend Chef Robert and crew if you want great event.
