With over 30 years of cooking experience, Chef John has a solid reputation for providing the best seafood in the Metro-Orlando area. Chef John has served as executive chef for some of Orlando's and Winter Park's finest restaurants -- Blackfin, Maison Des Crepes, Pebbles and Freddie's Steakhouse. His excellent attention to flavor, plate presentation and Caribbean style helped him win the coveted "Foodie Awards (Critics Choice and People's Choice) in 2004 while serving as executive chef at Blackfin Restaurant.
In 2008, Chef John and his wife, Carmon, decided to open their own restaurant in historic downtown Kissimmee, Florida. Within the first month, Chef John's Dockside Inn was immediately considered the best seafood restaurant in the area. Requests for private dinner parties, wedding rehearsal dinners, box lunches and corporate catering began pouring in. Chef John's accommodated every request and received some of the most rewarding feedback about its attention to detail and impeccable service. So, in 2009, Carmon, John's wife, formed the catering company, "A Taste of Chef John's Catering and Event Planning.
