My husband and I got married on September 23, 2023 & had Mr. Garrett Foster officiate our ceremony. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! Mr. Foster is personable, friendly, & super great at what he does. He sent us drafts of our ceremony & let us tweak it anyway we wanted to. Honestly, we didn’t even need to make changes because the first one he came up with was so good! During the wedding planning process, we realized VERY last minute we didn’t have anyone to marry us. We found all our vendors, except one of the most important ones- an officiant!! I think it was fate that caused us to “forget” that important detail. All the officiants we knew of had been booked. That’s when I found Mr. Garrett Foster. Had we not have waited so long to find an officiant, we would’ve used someone we knew. Because we waited so long, I went online searching! I found Mr. Foster on WeddingWire, & I’m so glad I did!! You won’t regret having him as an officiant for your big day. :)

We loved Garret! His questions to detail our love story were specific and to the point, allowing our wedding guests to be walked through the story of our love via his brilliant oration. I would recommend it to anyone!

Our experience with Garrett was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better officiant on our wedding day. When we started the process of picking an officiant we weren’t sure what we were looking for because we aren’t religious but we are spiritual. After our first conversation with Garrett we knew we had found our person. Although we started as strangers, by the end of our ceremony he felt like an old family friend.

Since we live in Pittsburgh, Garrett took the time to conduct a video chat with us to really get to know us and what we were looking for in a ceremony. He even offered to meet with us at the airport on our way home from a wedding planning trip so that we could meet in person! He really went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and that our wedding ceremony really represented us and our relationship.

Garrett started constructing our ceremony by asking us what was important to us and what we wanted the feel of the ceremony to be. From there he suggested difference verses and poems and also provided us with a large assortment of pieces for us to review and pick from. Of course we were also welcome to suggest any pieces that we already had in mind. I will say that it was incredibly helpful to have his collection to select from!

He also suggested different rituals that could be conducted during the ceremony to help personalize it and really bring everything together. We chose to do a beautiful rose ceremony with our mothers which really helped to make them feel special as well. We also did a sand ceremony which helped to represent our two halves becoming one united front.

Garrett was extremely easy to work with and helped bring a sense of calm to the what can be a very overwhelming time. He has a very kind and gently personality that makes him an absolute joy to work with. He presided over our ceremony with a sense of love and care as if he was an old friend. We felt that he truly captured the essence of our fun and loving relationship. He also helped everyone who attended the wedding to feel how important their presence was to us and that was truly priceless.

At the end of the day, all I can say is that we recommend Garrett 200%. He is a true professional both as a genuine, kind human being and as an incredible officiant.

You may think that $450 is a lot of money for an Officiant, but Garrett is exceptional and worth every penny. From our very first meeting he was the consummate professional in every aspect. He listened to us..... and was eager and excited to tell our story. Our story!
He is meticulous with his forms & questionnaires and literally gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling during the entire process!

I booked Ceremonies by Garrett for my wedding on April and Garrett was very accommodating and kind. He went over the process with us and asked us several questions to personalize the whole ceremony. We took a while with our answers and he was very patient with us even with some changes and tweaks to the original draft. The ceremony was very touching and sweet. Garrett was exceptional. He was exactly what we needed! We had no idea what we were looking for until we met him. Coming from a very catholic (grooms side) and catholic/ spiritual brides side he helped us with the perfect medium. Not only was he interested in our lives and how we met but also our family. He helped us with our vowels and even had poems to choose from. Garrett created a perfect story from the questions he had asked us.
