Catherine's attention to detail and precision are phenomenal. Even my guests commented on how she managed to be everywhere at once, and didn't miss a shot all day. Her use of color and light fit our style so perfectly. On top of all of this, she is absolutely lovely to work with.

We were planning a wedding from out of state. We facetimed with Catherine and really liked her positive attitude! She added an additional photographer to our contract for a minimal cost. Her cost was very reasonable considering her high quality and unique photos. Catherine was flexible when we had to cancel our engagement photos the first time. We would highly recommend hiring Catherine. She is very easy to work with and very talented! She came with a lot of ideas of potential places for photos and helped us with posing. We had our photos a month after the wedding - it was fantastic!

We are so glad we hired Catherine Winkelman Photography for our wedding. Catherine is a professional, energetic photographer with an excellent eye for capturing the moment. Right from our first consultation we could sense that Catherine would have a good balance between listening to our requests and making suggestions. We were able to prepare a plan of what we wanted in advance while leaving room for the spontaneous.

Our wedding was in downtown Chicago so we had asked for a lot of journalistic photography using the city as our backdrop. Catherine absolutely excelled at everything we asked her to do. She arrived on time, after a long road trip, prepared and ready to take on the day. She was able to help wrangle the wedding guests, and us, through the different spots in the city with grace and kindness. My biggest fear was that we would get a pushy photographer looking only to get the “normal” set shots. Catherine was so much better than that. She did everything with a sense of adventure and an artists touch. We have some of the most amazing pictures from a back alley in the city; something we had not planned in advance.

After the wedding Catherine stayed in contact with us to keep us informed and answer all of our questions. When we received our photos back in a timely manner, we were so pleased with the results.
