About
On WeddingWire since 2013
Castle in the Clouds offers an amazing wedding venue with panoramic views. The historic estate in Moultonboro, New Hampshire, was originally built in 1914 by Thomas Gustave Plant, who had previously worked in the shoe manufacturing industry. The land he bought stretched from the Ossipee Mountains to Lake Winnipesaukee. Since 2006, the estate has been owned and operated by Castle Preservation Society and is open to the public. Today, couples are able to host their wedding at Castle in the Clouds, on the lawn overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples may host up to 175 wedding guests for an indoor reception or rent a tent for larger weddings. There are four event spaces available for wedding couples to choose from when planning their wedding ceremony and reception. Options are available for outdoor weddings where couples and their loved ones will be surrounded by the incredible views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the mountains. Enjoy the incredible views during your ceremony on the Lawns outside the Lucknow Mansion, then host your cocktail hour on our Carriage House Terrace, and move into our Winnipesaukee Room for your dinner reception. Transportaion is available and included to transport guests between the Lucknow Mansion and our Carriage House.

Professional Network & Endorsements
Castle in the Clouds is a wonderful place to have a wedding. The views, the grounds, and the venue buildings are perfect. The staff is accommodating and extremely professional.
Castle in the Clouds is a beautiful and historic location! The views are breathtaking and the entire estate is radiating with romance. The staff is gracious and friendly across the board. This place is like New Hampshire's own mini Downton Abbey. I enjoy the opportunity to play may guitar here when I can to create a romantic or 1920s mood. Can't say enough about the wedding planner Jessica and her staff. Professional & creative.
