Perfect Choice!

This review is a way overdue but necessary. The Kimball Jenkins Estate was everything I could have hoped for for my wedding and more. Dawn was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. She had answers to every question, made stellar recommendations and was always there to assist when needed. She made sure everything went smoothly leading up to the event and was there the day-of. The whole property was ours for the day and I loved the flexibility of vendors. When we first started looking at venues, we knew that we wanted flexibility and the Kimball Jenkins Estate offered that. We were able to get ready on-site, and make the entire property ours for the day (my photographer even dragged me to the attic!). She even let us use the carriage house oven when there was a cookie emergency. :) The grounds were beautifully maintained and my guests were raving of the beauty of the property. I cannot say enough good things about Dawn and the Kimball Jenkins Estate and would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful location and amazing coordinator

Kimball Jenkins was not only a beautiful location that met our needs, but the coordinator (Dawn) was fantastic. She met us at the location several times, gave us information that we never would have thought to ask, and was there the full day of our wedding (without being in the way) to help with any last minute questions/requests. We couldn't have asked for a more seamless and beautiful location to have chosen.

I wouldn't have chosen any other venue. Kimball Jenkins is beautiful and you get the entire property for the whole day (this allows for many photo locations, see my pictures). Dawn is extremely helpful and knows the answer to any question you might have. I didn't feel stressed out at all planning my wedding because of her. Thank you for making our wedding day so special!

Just had my wedding this past weekend (9/9/17) at the Kimball Jenkins Estate and it was amazing! Such a beautiful and affordable venue. We kept the guest list under 80 so that we could use the buildings and it worked wonderfully! We used the mansion for cocktail hour, dancing, photo booth and bar. We used the carriage house for dinner and cake! Our ceremony was in the garden area! It was perfect!! Dawn was amazing to work with and was there to answer any questions or give recommendations throughout the planning process, as well as on the day of the event! Anything we needed she did her best to make happen for us. We loved the venue and so did our guests! Well worth the cost and work of securing outside vendors! My husband and I also loved knowing our rental went back to the art school!

We got married in the main house and held our reception in the carriage house on 12/30/2013. As soon as we stepped into the house, we realized it was exactly what we wanted: (a) a one stop place for everything, (b) the ability to choose our own vendors, (c) a charming, quaint, elegant place, (d) a wonderful wedding coordinator. We are so happy we chose this estate! Dawn understands the business and managed us so well. She knew when to step in, when to give advice, and when to stay silent. Everything was the way we wanted it.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Kimball Jenkins and Dawn, the event coordinator there. The second my fiance and I stepped onto the property, we knew we wanted to get married there! The vintage property is absolutely gorgeous. We opted to have our ceremony in the garden area, cocktail hour in the mansion, and reception in the carriage house (although you can really do whatever suits your needs). Not only that, but the property was very affordable, especially considering that you can utilize so much of the property.
As if we weren't sold on this place already, Dawn is absolutely amazing. She handled our rentals for us, which lifted a huge burden. She has endless wedding knowledge regarding vendors, decor and general ideas. She's so personable, fun and truly cares about the whole experience. Very communicative, she responded so quickly to any questions I had through email, and was there on our wedding day to ensure everything went smoothly! Even when we had to move the ceremony into the mansion, everything was coordinated perfectly. There's nothing that could have made this day, venue or overall experience or more stress-free. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kimball Jenkins and Dawn to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Kimball Jenkins is an amazing location for weddings and events of all sizes - they can fit 25 or 300! Dawn is amazing to work with - very thoughtful, positive, and responsive. KJE is a great location, beautiful setting, and a great price. I feel very lucky that I got to get married in such a beautiful location in my own hometown!

Highlights: plenty of room for parking/guests/dancing/food, great communication

Dawn, Bob, and the Kimball-Jenkins venue, overall, were phenomenal. Dawn (event coordinator) was very professional, friendly, supportive and (most importantly for me) present. Dawn responded to my calls, texts and emails within minutes, not hours or days. Dawn and her team really went "over the top" to ensure everything went off without a hitch, from sitting down with me during the planning phase, to setup of tables and chairs, to directing the vendors/guests to their proper locations. I was incredibly pleased, and not only give the highest recommendation, but I will certainly be using Kimball-Jenkins Estate for my future needs.

We were married in the carriage house and had our cocktail reception and dancing in the main house. It was lovely and the perfect spot for a New Year's Eve wedding.

Kimball Jenkins Estate is a gorgeous location for a wedding, and a dream for a photographer to capture. The estate rooms are stunning. It is hard to capture beautiful portraits indoors, but the backdrop at KJE makes it impossible not to! The grounds are gorgeous in the spring and summer, and the brick-lined walkways are the perfect place for formal portraits. As a photographer, I always enjoy working at KJE. A definite must-see in your venue search!
