Perfect New England wedding venue
Getting married at Castle in the Clouds was the perfect setting for our big day on 10/22/22. We had the most beautiful fall day & I was so pleased with how far my budget went at the castle, the open bar pricing is hard to beat & the catering options were so reasonable. The venue has so much character we barely had to decorate & the food from great events catering was excellent. Our guests loved seeing different parts of the property & we’re so happy to have this special place to visit for years to come.
It’s worth noting that the events team at the castle is tiny for the volume of weddings they hold. We appreciated all they were able to do for us & could see how hard they work to make sure their couples are well taken care of. This is not a team that has the capacity to respond in real time throughout your planning process & the limitations of their services were clearly disclosed in our inquiry process & outlined in our contract. We hired a day of event manager to help with all the vendor coordination & day of details in the final months leading up to our wedding & we all had a great experience working with Jessica & the events team during our wedding week. Thank you Jessica, Patti, and the entire castle team! -

Wedding Venue with Breathtaking Views
We had our wedding at the Castle in the Clouds and loved it. The wedding views from this venue (which are on top of a mountain and overlook Lake Winnipesaukee and the other mountain ranges) were absolutely beautiful. The wedding vows are said on the very top of the mountain and the guests are transported up by trolleys (which they loved), and the cocktail hour is outside a little lower down on the mountain with breathtaking views, and the reception is inside a beautiful space. Jess, the coordinator there, was wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions and helped the day run smoothly. We would absolutely recommend Castle in the Clouds for a unique and picturesque wedding venue. -

Beautiful Fall Venue
Castle and the Clouds was a stunning wedding venue with gorgeous fall foliage! The annual tasting event was very helpful for picking out the wedding caterer. The team was professional and helped to organize the ceremony and keep things running smoothly. The wedding guests absolutely loved the trolley ride to and from the ceremony site and the view can not be beat! An excellent venue! -

Castle in the Clouds really needs no review. The historic and scenic beauty of this spot are really unparalleled. What makes or breaks this venue is the wedding coordinator, Jessica. I found her to be so helpful from the start. I planned this wedding across the country, but was able to stay in touch via email and phone calls. We were also able to meet up once at castle in the clouds, only to meet with freezing cold temperatures and hail. Even that did not deter us. Jessica was very knowledgeable, and professional throughout the process. She is patient answering questions that I’m sure she has been asked a million times. Somehow, she managed to make me feel like it was the most important wedding even though she had just done 11 the month before. Did I mention that when it took 20 minutes to figure out how to bustle my dress, Jessica was on her hands and knees alongside my sister and sister in law to dig through my dress. Castle in the clouds will always be beautiful, but Jessica made it so much more special, and such an easy, relaxed process, I can’t imagine my big day without her. -

Our wedding at Castle in the Clouds was absolutely beautiful. Jessica, our coordinator, was so helpful and always available to answer ahh questions. The rest of the staff was great and even let us extend the end time out by a half hour since we were having so much fun!! Thank you Castle in the Clouds for a wedding we will never forget! -

Amanda did a fantastic job helping us coordinate with all of our vendors and even though it was rainy and dreary the day of our wedding they were able to make me feel better about the rain and were able to provide umbrellas for all of our guests if it was needed. Our wedding was a fairy tale come true and I am so happy and glad that we chose to have our wedding at the Castle!!! -

Kim Sent on 06/19/2017First off, best location in terms of view! They staff was extremely helpful and responsive the during the whole planning process. Then it poured on our wedding day but they worked with us to push back the ceremony 20 minutes to make it work when the rain let up. They are a little picky with certain things like the caterers, you only have a choice between two that can go up there, their food is good though. Also, they make beautiful signs to decorate the space! It is a little pricey but it is totally worth it! -

Castle in the Clouds is, no ifs ands or buts, an incredibly beautiful venue. We got lucky with the weather and while it was a little chilly on the mountain in early November, there were clear skies and sun and the wind wasn't too bad while we were there, so all our guests got to look out over the gorgeous view during the ceremony, and they had the choice to either mingle inside or outside on the patio space during the cocktail hour. The main room for the reception was so stunningly beautiful both in the sunset light and afterward that I think even the people who had to travel to be there understood why we were so set on this location for our wedding. We worked with Courtney for our rehearsal the day before and for most of the wedding day, and she was fantastic. She had a calm, assured presence, she always knew what was going on, had all the answers to my questions, and also was willing to change things around to suit what I wanted or needed. She was so accommodating and a delight to work with. If I have any qualms with this venue, it's that response times from them varied a lot and sometimes I had to go over the same things more than once because there was some breakdown in communication. However, between COVID and some personal things going on at the same time for staff at the venue, that's understandable. -

I just got married on 10/13 at Castle in the Clouds. Besides the temperature, we couldn't have asked for a better day! It had rained in the morning into the afternoon, so we were a little worried we would get rained out of the view that had drawn us to the venue. They offered plenty of really cool add-ons and were willing to be flexible in regards to the ceremony and reception time (we extended our reception by 30 minutes). My one complaint was that I really wish the wedding team was a little more responsive. In all the phone calls I ever made, it was never answered and my messages were never returned. My mom had to send "PLEASE RESPOND" in the subject line. I completely understand that things are busy and my husband and I were by no means the only ones getting married there, but when you have to write that in the subject line 2 weeks before the wedding it is a little nerve-wracking. Overall it was wonderful. We got so many compliments on the beautiful ceremony and people couldn't get enough of the views. -

Castle in the Clouds is a magical and gorgeous venue! We would highly recommend hiring a month-of-coordinator. They have a lot of weddings to attend to and a small staff. At times they were difficult to get ahold of but did work well with our day of coordinator. They also have strict time constraints in terms of the ceremony, when you are allowed to be there setting up and taking down, and when your reception needs to end. However, even knowing that information we would not have made a different choice. Our wedding was absolutely magnificent and magical. The backdrop of the mountains and lake was incredible and we were on cloud 9. Just make sure to hire a coordinator (we highly recommend Wright up the Aisle!) -

Lisa Sent on 08/24/2009Castle in the Clouds is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. It is a gorgeous and unique location like none other. Having said that, the wedding coordinator ruins everything. She is unresponsive, ditzy and flat out unprofessional and rude. Upon meeting her, she was nice and listened to what we wanted. After that, everything went down hill. She took extended amounts of time responding to phone calls and emails. We were planning this from out of state. We had 4 1/2 months to plan. And she was of little help once she received the deposit. I was completely on my own. Everything, detail-wise, I had to figure out on my own and she screwed up all the details. From the seating, to the flow of the day, to organizing... everything was off. Her WORST quality/skill is her organizational skills. I had to send her information several times. It is actually really sad that such a beautiful place is slowing being killed by their wedding coordinator. We have written to the GM over a month ago and have yet to receive a response to the numerous issues we experienced there. I have to say the most ridiculous moment of dealing with her was the day before my wedding, putting on the chair covers (yes we had too unless you want to pay the castle an extra 400) and she had screwed up our seating. (just incase you end up using castle in the clouds, no more than 8 can fit at a table) and she actually said, in my mothers face, "What do you want me to do, pull out a magic wand and make bigger tables appear". Yeah, Id say that pretty much sums up our entire experience with her. If it wasn't for some of our exceptional vendors (dj, JP, and photographer), we would've considered it a total loss. If the thing you want to be doing is stressing, worrying, getting angry and putting together your own wedding 24 hours before you get married, this is the place for you.
