Costa Rica Destination Wedding: The best choice!
Very amazing beautiful wedding
Casa Rio Mar Beach Ceremony
Turns out… it was a perfect fit and our wedding was incredible experience from top to bottom!!! So we rented both houses at Casa Rio Mar because of capacity and the pictures of the beach view, wood decking and layouts online. Because we were never planning a trip down prior to our wedding weekend we had some apprehension about trying to plan the event. After a few phone calls with Matt and Jim early on though, I started to get a good feeling that things would work out. Both were very honest about the potential of the house and their down to earth kindness shined through.
I had indicated that we would be doing all the planning and we didn’t need a coordinator. This didn’t stop Matt from frequently making calls to vendors, getting additional quotes and arranging time for vendors to stop by during the process. He was incredibly helpful and also made a lot of arrangements for our guests as well.
Our guests arrived on various flights to San Jose, and their transfer shuttles were waiting and ready to go. When we got to the house, it was just as the pictures indicated! Overlooking the beach, 2 beautiful pools and plenty of space in the house. Casa Rio Mar Grande has a rather interesting layout in terms of rooms and access which was great, as it provides a little more privacy for guests. Casa Rio Mar is more typical and probably the more family friendly house. Both ended up being great as we had a combination of young families and friends coming. In the end we had something like 30 adults between the 2 houses which made for a comfortable fit. The other 10 stayed at a few different hotels which were within walking distance. All 40 guests had an incredible time and said it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had been to.
Matt was in and out of the house throughout our 5 day stay to answer questions and make arrangements as needed. On the day of the actual wedding, Matt showed up early to help direct vendors and Jim came by as well with a few gifts, very kind! We had used Zona Latina Eventos to do a bulk of our wedding stuff and that is another 5-star review I need to write. Highly recommend and extremely easy to work with minus the language barrier. In the end, the wedding was so perfectly beautiful.
