Carole came highly recommended for wedding dress alterations. I decided to go with her, as she has a reputation for being the best..and she did not disappoint.

She did an EXCELLENT job, in a very short amount of time. Not only is she incredibly talented, she is wonderful to work with! I enjoyed the experience and I LOVE my dress! The high quality work and attention to detail is truly remarkable.

During our initial phone call, she took the time to answer all of my questions and didn‘t rush me. She didn’t pressure me to go with her, made me feel comfortable and said she would be able to fit me in just in time for my wedding.

My first fitting was such a positive experience! She is incredibly bright and insanely talented. She is friendly and personable.

When I went to the second fitting to pick up my dress, I was truly stunned. I have never used the word “snatched“ before, but she made me look “snatched“. I never wanted to take my gown off. She transformed it into a work of art.

My mom needed help when steaming my dress on the day of my wedding, and I didn’t know what to do. I gave her my phone and had her call Carole. Carole was so kind and helpful and went above and beyond. I am so grateful for Carole!

It’s rare that you get to meet someone who is truly a master at what they do. Carole’s work is worth absolutely every penny. Usually I’m a frugal person, but I had fallen in love with a dress that had extraordinary beadwork on it, and I’m glad Carole didn’t throw me out the first day. She literally spent 8.5 hours on *just* the beading, which she matched perfectly and seamlessly with the rest of the dress. It’s absolutely dazzling.

She’s been doing wedding dresses for decades, and has the talent and taste to create anything and everything from scratch. She probably has the exact fabric to recreate your dress from top to bottom already in her shop.

She fit the dress to me like a glove, with precision and artistry. She also hemmed it, added a bustle, made a super helpful video to guide my maid of honor, and gave me helpful hints about styling.

She’s also an absolute pleasure to work with, reliable, and over-delivers. There are so many things that you can stress about when it comes to weddings, do yourself a favor and solve this one with some extra money.

I got married back in Sept 2021 and finally getting around to writing reviews! Carole was great to work with. Our first appointment actually didn't go so great as I did not communicate clearly what I wanted and I left feeling a bit uneasy about what she was planning to do. I called her and explained the predicament, she was very patient and kind about it and agreed to do a 1st fit re-do for free. The way she handled this situation showed me she was a true professional and just wanted me to be happy at the end of the day. The dress turned out great and I was very happy! Carole is amazing! I purchased my dress from a large store (on sale...no returns!) before quickly realizing that it was far too big and rather complex with lots of layers, lace, etc. Luckily for us, Carole was able to work her magic! When she was done with it, it truly felt like a custom dress, and I absolutely love it. She also made a custom veil, which was just what the dress needed.

Carole Kenney completely blew me away with her vision, talent, and dedication as she created the custom wedding dress of my dreams. From the very first meeting, she really listened to me and was able to build upon my limited and rudimentary ideas to design and create something completely magical. Each and every fitting was incredible as I watched my dress come to life and I could not have felt more beautiful (or comfortable!) on my big day. All of my friends and family wanted to know where I could have found such a perfect, unique, and flawlessly-fitting dress, and they were amazed to learn that it was truly one of a kind. My custom dress became much more than I ever imagined and Carole had so many wonderful ideas throughout the process. I really appreciated each of her ingenious suggestions, from design elements that would be most flattering on my frame to the best way to incorporate beadwork from my grandmother’s wedding dress so that she could be part of our special occasion. Carole was my wedding lifesaver. I did what so many have done before; I bought a dress without considering the difficulty of alterations. On top of that, I was asking for a lot! I am a plus size girl, and the dress I purchased was cut very low and had an open back. When I brought it to Carole, she was very honest – this was not going to be an easy fix. But she saw my vision and executed it flawlessly. What made this even more special was that she seemed just as excited as me when I put the dress on. Without Carole, I would not have felt as confident and beautiful on my wedding day as I did. She worked serious magic. This was not a cheap operation, but she was open from the beginning on price and there were no surprises, and I had complete confidence in her abilities from start to finish. I drove from the Bay Area to Sacramento for her, and I don’t regret it for a second. If you want the best alterations, go to Carole. I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job.

Carole Kenney is a true professional among professionals. From the moment I called, and left a message of interest, to the moment of my final fitting…. Every meeting with Carole was personal, professional, and fun! She shared in the joy and vision of what I had for my wedding day and the look I wanted. She was always very warm and very easy to talk to. I found myself counting the days till I was able to work with her again, between the varied fittings, I just loved the time with her. Carole helped me understand that when you order a wedding dress, it is ordered to your largest measurement, which is exactly why the rest of the dress did not fit me well at all. As soon as I put the dress on for our first appointment, she was excited to make it “fit like a glove”. And… she did just that. My handsome groom almost melted to the floor as he saw me walk down the aisle. His exact words were “Wow”! And I could not agree with him more. If only he knew what the dress looked like when I first put it on, to the moment of how it looked on the wedding day…. All thanks to Carole Kenney. ☺ Carole created the mermaid shape I was seeking and had the dress hug every one of my curves. She reconstructed the bodice and pinched in the inches so to highlight my shape. She also guided me through the bustle and went above and beyond to be sure every piece laid perfectly. She did not cut any corners as she took pride in every alteration! Once I came in for my final fitting, I put on the dress and it felt effortless. As I walked out to see my mom, tears of joy filled her eyes. The dress highlighted me and it was true perfection! Carole was also very open about the costs and did not do any alterations without me being aware of what I would be paying. I appreciated her openness and her guiding me through each step. She wanted to be sure I was just as comfortable with the process as she was. Saying that I recommend Carole is an understatement… She is an incredible person with a true talent!

I bought my dress from David's Bridal always knowing that I was going to alter it. DB wouldn't do the alterations I wanted because it "changed the dress too much." I was eventually referred to Carole Kenney by a friend who said she was the best.

After reading all of her great yelp reviews, I set up an appointment with Carole, and the night before I went to see her, I tried on the dress just to see what I was in store for they following day. I was almost in tears. The fit was awful, it was uncomfortable, and I couldn't walk in it. I was terrified I had made a mistake in then dress I picked.

Carole put all of my fears to rest. Over a series of 4 or 5 appointments, we changed the neckline, swapped out the existing belt for a new one, took in the waist, let out the hips, hemmed it, bustled it, and pressed it. I liked that she made the changes little by little so I was able to see the transformation of the dress and feel confident that I was making the right changes. I LOVED the way I looked on my wedding day. My dress ended up being my absolute dream dress and it was because of Carole.

Aside from all that, she was a pleasure to work with. Everything was always done on time, she never missed or changed appointments, and she seems to really enjoy what she does. I 100% recommend her.
