I found Capital Reeds through Wedding Wire, but had the added bonus of having a mutual few friends with Noelle. I am a bassoonist, so I had wanted a woodwind trio (preferably with a bassoon) and was happy to find them plus everyone spoke very highly of them. Noelle was extremely responsive throughout the planning phase and made that part of the ceremony planning very easy. We ended up needing to move the ceremony because the ground was too damp, but the three of them were troopers and got set up in the new area. They sounded fantastic - my mother-in-law had wanted one particular piece as part of the prelude music and it meant a lot that Capital Reeds played it. I had wanted the bridal processional and the recessional to be a piece written for their instruments, and both sounded wonderful and were well suited to the occasion; along with the other two arrangements we had for the mothers' seating and the bridal party entrance. I sadly didn't get to see the trio to thank them that day because they were fantastic and, with music being very important to my family, they added a very special element to the celebration.

We hired the Capital Reeds to perform on the concert series at our college. The ensemble was very professional and sounded amazing. Many attendees of the concert commented on how musical and technically proficient the Capital Reeds played. In addition to performing well, they provided informative commentary on each piece during the concert. Our audience was most appreciative of this. It was a pleasure to work with them and I hope we can have them back at some point in the future! I would highly recommend them to anyone interested.

I highly recommend The Capital Reeds. They played at my daughter's ceremony and during the cocktail hour. I had no idea what music should be played during the ceremony and they were very helpful with that.
They were professional, courteous and wonderful to deal with....not to mention that the 3 of them play beautifully together. When I listened to samples of their repertoire I knew immediately they would be perfect and didn't look any further. In fact, we received numerous compliments.
