  We were thrilled to have the Capital Reeds at our wedding! Noel was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, and was very accommodating when we made a few changes to the repertoire in the month before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the group was very professional and played beautifully for our ceremony. We also heard rave reviews from our guests. Their pricing is also very reasonable. A great choice!

  Capital Reeds' performance at my wedding was one of the greatest highlights of the day! I had countless guests comment on how amazing and professional they sounded. Never once have I been to another wedding where guests have commented on how awesome the musicians were. Not only did they sound amazing, but they quick with communication and on time for the wedding. I highly recommend going with live music at a wedding because they are able to react to whatever situation happens during the wedding. If you are looking for the perfect sound for your wedding, look no further than Capital Reeds!!

  My husband and I chose the Capital Reeds to perform during our brief DC wedding ceremony and loved the idea of having reeds rather than the typical string quartet. Noelle was super responsive right from the bat and the pricing was very reasonable. She helped us with our ceremony selection and the rest was a breeze. Capital Reeds were punctual, professional and we received numerous compliments on their beautiful sound. I would highly recommend this group for any event in the DC area!

  We had Capital Reeds perform for our wedding ceremony, and they were wonderful! All of the music turned out just as we had planned. Noelle was our primary contact person for coordinating the music, and she was always very prompt in responding to email and phone correspondence. The whole process went very smoothly. On the day of the wedding, all 3 trio members were very professionally dressed and played beautifully. I highly recommend this ensemble!

  I'm so happy my husband and I chose Capital Reeds as our ceremony musicians! We loved the reed trio because it's not your run-of-the-mill string quartet. Their passion for music and beautiful sound really captured the feel we wanted for the ceremony.
  
  Noelle was responded to all my e-mails very quickly and the whole group was flexible in figuring out the rehearsal logistics.

  I found Capital Reeds through Wedding Wire, but had the added bonus of having a mutual few friends with Noelle. I am a bassoonist, so I had wanted a woodwind trio (preferably with a bassoon) and was happy to find them plus everyone spoke very highly of them. Noelle was extremely responsive throughout the planning phase and made that part of the ceremony planning very easy. We ended up needing to move the ceremony because the ground was too damp, but the three of them were troopers and got set up in the new area. They sounded fantastic - my mother-in-law had wanted one particular piece as part of the prelude music and it meant a lot that Capital Reeds played it. I had wanted the bridal processional and the recessional to be a piece written for their instruments, and both sounded wonderful and were well suited to the occasion; along with the other two arrangements we had for the mothers' seating and the bridal party entrance. I sadly didn't get to see the trio to thank them that day because they were fantastic and, with music being very important to my family, they added a very special element to the celebration.

  We hired the Capital Reeds to perform on the concert series at our college. The ensemble was very professional and sounded amazing.   I highly recommend The Capital Reeds. They played at my daughter's ceremony and during the cocktail hour. I had no idea what music should be played during the ceremony and they were very helpful with that.
  They were professional, courteous and wonderful to deal with....not to mention that the 3 of them play beautifully together. When I listened to samples of their repertoire I knew immediately they would be perfect and didn't look any further. In fact, we received numerous compliments.
  They are a class act and I guarantee you will be extremely happy with them.

  The Capital Reeds played at my son's wedding at River Farm, before and during the ceremony as well as during the cocktail/reception time. While I was not involved in their hiring or the arrangements, I have to say that we were VERY favorably impressed. The music was wonderful, including some pieces which are very meaningful to my family. They were flexible about setting up as we had rain threatening before and during the ceremony. In fact, they were playing outside during the beginning of the ceremony but when it started sprinkling, they were very professional about quietly picking up their instruments and moving so that they were under cover. They quickly reassembled and were playing beautifully throughout the cocktail time. I would highly recommend them for any wedding.

  We used Capital Reeds for our outdoor ceremony and absolutely loved their sound. Jeff was very easy to work with and was helpful in walking me through their process. I would definitely recommend them to people looking for a more unique (not strings), classical group.

  I was happy to find Capital Reeds as they are a unique alternative to a string quartet. The music selection is classical, and the quality is great. The only issue I had was that I had to reach out to confirm music selection and finalize plans, when I would have liked to have heard from the main coordinator when it got close to the wedding day. Also, the main coordinator I had been working with was no longer available to perform for our wedding day. While another member was prompt in getting back to me and assured me they had a replacement, it would have been more professional to have heard from the main coordinator when plans changed and transition the details of where we left off. Other than that, Jeff Ward was great to work with and offered very helpful advice in selecting the ceremony music. And the music the day of sounded very professional! Our ceremony was outdoors with about 90 people, I think it could be hard for folks to hear in the back rows if you have more than 90 guests - you may need a sound system with a larger crowd outdoors.
