The Campuzano Story…

In 1999 business friends Harding and Campuzano decided to open a restaurant in Midlothian. Harding being the Tex and Campuzano the Mex, a restaurant serving great Mexican food seemed the perfect fit. Campuzano started with the philosophy of putting the focus on the plate. Excellent food with the best ingredients made fresh every day, great portions and phenomenal customer service. No exceptions or cutting corners.

Soon a Waxahachie location was added. Then came a third in Cedar Hill and a short time after that Harding became the sole owner. Having been a resident of the thriving downtown Dallas scene for years, he longed to open another restaurant there. With years of determination and an unrelenting drive his newest location on Oak Lawn near Maple became a reality in August 2013. Loyal customers and a longstanding committed staff combined with a solid menu of Mexican food favorites helped to facilitate this newest location

Each Campuzano location reflects the charm of its neighborhood taking on the personalities of the people it serves. The employees at Campuzano are the real backbone of this success, forging relationships with customers they see several times a week. Our employees have a long term view when it comes to their job, and many have been with us from day one. Many of our customers have this same feeling, and it shows when they bring family and friends from out of town to show off “their favorite restaurant”. Campuzano has become a gathering place for these people. A place in the community to celebrate births, birthdays, marriages, anniversaries, even the loss of family and friends. More often to just celebrate the end of another long work week.
