We chose this place because it was where we met when we were teenagers. We ended up meeting with the staff (who are extremely helpful) and we were able to have a tour of the whole camp. The camp was available to rent one night or all weekend, which was really helpful because we were able to have our practice, ceremony, and reception there and have a place for people to stay if they drank. Great price, beautiful place... I could get married 100 times and each time choose the place.

Camp Wokanda was perfect for us! You should note, we were very laid back and on a budget.

Camp Wokanda was completely hands off, which was nice for us. We had access to the ceremony and site from noon on Friday to noon on Sunday. This allowed us to set up Friday night and have our bridesmaids and groomsmen tear down on Sunday. On Saturday, all we had to do is get married and party!

Our wedding was a sentimental, love-story/fairy tale theme, so the wooded setting was perfect for us.

If you are looking for a venue that will do all the footwork for you, and take care of business, Camp Wokanda is not it.

If you are looking for a venue that is EXTEMELY inexpensive, beautiful outdoor setting, and will let you plan the party the way you want, then it is for you! We paid only $800 for the whole weekend.

Very disappointing experience. There were exclusive rights to portions of the Venue and we were overtaken by hundreds of Boy Scouts and their families. Parking was impossible without walking a mile to the wedding and reception site. The road to our actual site was gated off & walking for the hanicapped was horrible. The outdoor ceremony site was not mowed. We felt as though our day was Not important. For the amount of money,we should have gotten so much more.
