After working in recent years with several established bridal shops in Savannah selling my creations, I am delighted to realize my dream of opening Camellia, my very own bridal shop. We offer exquisite gowns and accessories at reasonable prices and provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
The road to Camellia has been a long and full one.
Prepared as a youngster by formal training at Parsons School for Design, I opened my first boutique (called Bumbleberry’s) in New York City in 1986. At Bumbleberry’s I discovered lace and how well it can compliment the unconventional. I had great fun designing custom lace-covered hi-tops for a Joan Vass Couture show during Fashion Week, and hand-painting sneakers for Michael Jackson’s Fashion Premier at The Palladium. I designed custom denim and lace skirts for Helen Mirren in the film "The Mosquito Coast".
The first inspirations for designing heirloom bridal accessories came from my great-grandmother from whom I inherited a magical cedar chest full of antique lace and fabrics, silk dresses, an amazing ostrich plume, a hand-painted fan from Paris, and even her own silk wedding shoes. As a dancer, I have always tried to incorporate movement in all of my designs.

Hello, I'm Leanessa! I'm an artist from Houstan,Texas but I've lived in Savannahwith my husband and dogs for two years now. I am a nerd who loves giraffs, game night, and a good Harry Potter Marathon. Currently I'm studying Costume Design at SCAD but my heart really is in bridal!
