Kimberly and her team at CAKE were amazing! I wanted a creative yet elegant Alice in Wonderland wedding cake. I sent them some pictures and they quoted me a price for about 60% less than other bakeries. I looked at a few bakeries portfolios and loved their work, not to mention the cake flavor options were yummy. We had peanut butter banana, strawberry lemonade, and carrot cake cupcakes. I'm constantly wishing I had just a few more bites! Highly recommended :)

DELICIOUS!!! Must try the banana with chocolate cake and the red velvet!!! My fiance and I emailed CAKE pictures of what we wanted for our cake and they delivered to a T. We got compliments on how amazing the cake smelled (we had white chocolate roses on the outside) and how great it tastes. They have albums of cake ideas in their bakery, or come with your own ideas.

I would recommend CAKE to everyone looking for an incredibly delicious and beautiful wedding cake! All of the flavors we tasted were amazing and it was hard to choose just two. The down-to-earth and professional owners are very passionate about what they do and take their craft very seriously; this love of cake clearly comes through in their finished products!

My wedding cake tasted as good as it looked. No yucky fondant, even though it looked like a fondant cake. I designed the cake myself and they made it perfectly. Looked even better than I pictured it. It was also very budget friendly. Couldn't be happier with the way the cake turned out!

Easy, inexpensive, and beautiful! It took me about 10 minutes to arrange the cake with this vendor. I got the savvy bride cake too save money. It looked like a $3000 cake! I was in shock when I saw how beautiful it was and boy was it delicious. I even got two different flavors for different layers. Strawberries & chocolate cream and red velvet. AMAZING!!! I had the most beautiful wedding cake and spent way less than anyone I know.

I had the most beautiful most delicious cake in the whole wide world. You know how usually people do not touch the cake and the bride and groom ends up bringing left overs home? Well, in our case, the chocolate banana truffle and red velvet wedding cake was so delicious that the only time we tasted our cake was during cake cutting! The groom and I are planning on ordering a whole sheet for his birthday and eat it to our selves...future brides, do yourselves a favor, order from CAKES! and no one else. We absolutely loved our wedding cake! My husband and I are big foodies, and we knew we did not want a fondant decorated cake. They taste terrible, and the ingredients are so unnatural. At CAKE, they use high quality ingredients and are also very anti-fondant, which was perfect. We got a cake that was both beautiful to look at AND tasted delicious. There are a lot of quality bakeries in San Diego, but many of them are very pricey. We felt CAKE offered a great product at a reasonable price, and best of all, they did different flavors for the different tiers and didn't charge anything additional. We went with chocolate cake with hazelnut mousse and dark chocolate truffle filling for one tier, and vanilla cake with vanilla creme and raspberries for the other. People raved about how yummy both flavors were!

Let me say that I LOVE the wedding cake they made!!! I asked for something very similar to what they'd already made and featured on their website, and got their coconut cream and berries cake. It was absolutely delicious and gorgeous! They were not the easiest to reach, but they came through and I am so thrilled with the result. Will definitely be coming to them again. The cake was a beautiful piece of art!

CAKE baked our wedding cake. I'm not a fan of cake in general but my husband loves sweets. I had one bight at the wedding and have to admit it wasn't that bad! We received so many compliments from those with a sweet tooth!

Our three varieties were: butter vanilla cake with fresh vanilla curd and raspberries; butter vanilla cake with key lime curd and a citrus soak; and grapefruit cake with cream cheese butter cream filling.

How can a person that doesn't like cake review a cake company? Well, anyone planning a wedding knows that the final product is important, but the customer service provided can make or break a vendor.

Dealing with CAKE was simple. You go in, you try the cake, you call back and tell them they're hired, give them $100.00 down and that's it. If you're looking for busy-work e-mails and multiple consultations, I don't think CAKE is for you. But if you want good cake, a creative baker, and the cake delivered on time, just as requested, hire CAKE.
