Facilities and Capacity

This small town chapel is an authentic 19th century Methodist church, complete with spectacular stained glass windows and dark wooden church pews. Weddings held at this church venue can avail of two event spaces: the ceremony sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. This hand-constructed sanctuary can seat up to 120 guests for your service while an organist provides ceremonial ambiance with a stylish Allen Organ. A bell tower can ring for out your happy occasion and be heard for miles around. For after your ceremony, Fellowship Hall can host up to 100 guests in a sit-down reception. On-site parking is also readily available for your guests.

Wedding events that can be hosted at Cahill Church include engagement parties, bridal showers, elopements, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. Peak wedding season is from May through September. The services available from the church include event rentals, setup, and cleanup. You can get ready for your big day in pristine get-ready rooms. Outside vendors are allowed, including catering for the Fellowship Hall. A pastor, wedding coordinator, organist, and sound technician can all be hired through the church.

In addition to weddings, Cahill Church also hosts other events and celebrations. These include choirs, missions, and the annual Fall Festival for arts and crafts.

History

Land was set aside for a Methodist church in 1893 by Sarah Snodgrass to remember her father, Aquilla Cahill. Members of the future congregation built the sanctuary. The Texas Historical Commission designated the church as a historical site on its 100-year anniversary in 1993.

Cahill United Methodist Church can be found off CR 917, a 13-minute drive from Alvarado and a 28-minute drive from Fort Worth. The church has become popular with couples from the local Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
