I purchased a cake for a relative going into the army ( I know this is a wedding website but still feel this is helpful for someone) . When I arrived at the consultation she had a sketched design, I suggested a small change and she was clearly not happy but agreed. there were 3 cakes to taste (chocolate, vanilla and caramel) they were all extremely dry. I did say as politely as I could and the owner said she could take care of that. When I picked up the cakes her husband ran out the house door with the boxed cake and put it in my car. I was speechless! I pulled over 2 blocks down the road to look at the cake and was extremely disappointed. I immediately called her to explain this was not the beautiful cake I was expecting. She immediately stated that she had a contract that I approved the sketched design and I got what I agreed to. Additionally the cakes tasted OK at best. I paid over $150.00 for a cake that serves 33 and did not get the fantastic cake I was expecting.
