We loved working with Courtney and Angela SO MUCH. They were always so kind, quick to respond, understanding, and made us feel comfortable and confident. They were happy to hike around in the woods with us for hours to get some really incredible engagement photos, and were super chill when I changed our first look location at the last minute on the day of our wedding. The photos they took are INCREDIBLE - so much better than we ever could have expected. They really captured "us" the way we really are with each other, and we will cherish these photos forever. We were very lucky to find Courtney and Angela semi-last minute. Our original photographers were going to be friends from Canada, and about 6 months before the wedding we decided that they were unfortunately not going to be able to attend our wedding due to COVID-based travel restrictions. I scoured the internet, and after lots of dead ends and some Zooms with a couple other photographers, I found Brightly and Free. When I saw their photos I was hooked. Then, my now husband and I met with Courtney and Angela and we knew they were the ones. These two incredible humans are patient, professional, calming, fun, and extremely talented. They were able to capture so many moments of our summer camp wedding weekend. They were flexible and able to help us navigate family dynamics during photos with finesse. There are few words to describe how incredible it was to work with Courtney and Angela but I can start by saying that these two women are some of the sweetest, most thoughtful, passionate, creative and amazing people I have ever met.

From the moment we met them, we knew they were the photographers for us and that feeling stayed with us throughout the entire wedding process. Instantaneously, we felt a natural connection to them that we think will last beyond the delivery of our wedding photos. They truly engrained themselves into our lives (and hopefully, ours into theirs!)

Their natural, authentic photography style was exactly what we were looking for and it carried through to their carefree, easy-going personalities. We talked through some of our requests (no lap-sitting!) and their recommendations (yes, do a First Look!) and we knew they were going to take care of us and make us feel natural and relaxed.

When getting ready for our engagement shoot, we were so nervous about getting professional photos done since neither of us are very comfortable in front of a camera. Despite the nerves and the unexpected snowstorm that happened the day of our shoot, Angela and Courtney made us feel so natural and at ease. After the shoot wrapped, we knew that our wedding day was going to feel the same way – fun, easy and comfortable.

Having these two in my hotel room while getting ready the morning of the wedding with my sisters and mom felt like I just had another set of sisters with me. My whole family kept saying how wonderful Angela and Courtney were and how natural it felt to have them along with us.

I cannot recommend Brightly & Free enough. If you are looking for photos that will tell your story in a natural, beautiful way, then Courtney and Angela are the right photographers for you. We are so thankful that they were a part of our wedding day and could not imagine it without them.

Angela and Courtney (Brightly & Free) met us for coffee first so we could all get to know each other. My fiance isn't a big fan of having his picture taken, so meeting them really helped to break the ice before you know, the biggest day of our lives. We also scheduled an engagement session with them which really helped us get to know them, and for them to get to know us. Just from the fun the four of us had at our engagement session, I knew we had made the right choice.
Then, about six weeks before our wedding, my father passed away. I was devastated and everything wedding related took a back seat. Only 3 things pulled me out of that time and back to being the happy bride-to-be....my fiance, my family/friends, and Angela and Courtney. The LOVE and reassurance I received from these girls was amazing. It was what pulled me out of that awful time and feel excited for the wedding again. After that, the wedding was a piece of cake! They made everything so seamless. We have a very blended family, with multiple sets of parents. Angela and Courtney made sure we caught the photos with ALL the parents, siblings, step-parents, friends, relatives, etc. They went and scoped out our church and reception venue to check the lighting before our big day so they would know where they would get the best shots. We got married in the morning, which made for a very long day for them....they were there at 8am and stayed with us until 5pm. And had smiles the whole time. They were amazing and honestly, I don't think they'll ever know how much of a difference they made for us in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Not to mention, their work is INCREDIBLE and they have perfectly captured our wedding. I could go on and on, but WeddingWire has a character limit. I can never thank these two enough, and their photos will be cherished in our home for a very, very long time.
